Personally I allways disliked the usage of the word Oni in L5R. I allways thought it would be better if the Ogers or Trolls who exist in the Shadowlands would be named Oni since their description is. Much closer to what a Oni in japanese folklore is discribed as. I allways use the word Akuma to describe all Oni since in japanese folklore it´s the name for the worst evil spirits and I pinpoint it at this story, that the "Akuma" got their name from the story of Isawa Akuma.

I smile whenever The Cranes are brought up in conversation, because the first time I ever played L5R, I was a Crane. Totally opposite to my demeanor because it was a "new system" so I wanted to go off the beaten path. I usually do some up front gruff warrior, or smart ass rogue. Being a pretty boy diplomat was freaking amazing! That campaign was so much fun, my favorite memory is when myself and the other dude had a "shopping episode" together, while our wives looked on incredulously about how our characters were so excited about going shopping for new kimonos and accessories. Hilarity ensued both in and out of the game. I love L5R and I absolutely love The Crane Clan. I know you got loads of other projects and lore videos, and I try to watch as many as I can, but I truly appreciate the L5R videos. Keep up the great work on all the things you're doing!

I cant see how the eternal champion ever fights for chaos except Gaynor the damned. Even Elric won for law in the end and then got killed. Cornelius was a bad one I didnt read about him I just hurd about him. I didnt know the eternal companion was used more then once per champion I guess I was mistaken I thought only one each.Thanks for the VERY informitive video and have a good day. I think about Gaynor they call him a brother sometimes they hate and pity him and I think in some novels its ok for him and them all at the end they join into one I am prity sure hes one. But it is vaige sometimes about the champion so he never gets oblivion like he wants but Peace with the other incarnations. There's different talk about the conjuction of the million spheres or final conjuntion and then its over for that multiverse a new one I guess starts I dont know. My interpretation of the Dune novel was that Paul's fate, and the Golden Path, were not set until the Battle of Arrakeen. This was the huge moral dilemma for Paul in the second half of the novel. Avenging his father meant unleashing the Fremen on the universe. Not attacking Arrakeen and living a quiet life in the desert with Chani meant that humanity was doomed to perish in the distant future. Paul has no good outcomes and this is the burden of his visions. Going down the Golden Path to save humanity meant becoming a greater monster than the emperor that Paul overthrew.

Found this series recently. Love it and can’t wait for more!

Way back in the L5R card game I played exclusively Scorpion Clan. I became the #1 player and Daimyo which would had let me be in the big event. However, the rules were not so complete and a person playing Phoenix Clan had more points in his Clan but not enough to be Daimyo, but a bit more than my points. So, he switched to Scorpion Clan and took over to get the free pass to the event maybe 3 months before it. I was so pissed from that.
