170k is no HP? I think you might just be ignorant on DK builds. There are many ways to build a DK as blood tank. I choose a balances approach with Haste/Mastery and Stam. Im healing myself way more than our healers are healing me. Go look at some top dk logs and filter the healing done and filter the receiver of heals to be the DK tank. You still see most of DK tanks are healing themselves for +50% of the healing they receive.

Yes i did this as a duo and we were able to get around 2-2.25mil xp an hour. We switched it up around lvl 83 and did some duo que RDF. Then went to Twilight at 84 and quested. Then back to RDF spam. Then back to HoL between Ques. Ended up 80-85 in 10-11hrs.

I did this solo to 85 as a bear druid. The only thing that took me down a bit was ionar, but i just healed as he dispersed. Got to 85 tuesday at like midnight between having to work and take some breaks for the family here and there. Even if you dont pull big like i did, i believe its still worth it as the questing areas on grobb are absolutely ridiculous with lag and population. As for those of you complaining about rep and gear, just go back and get the tabards, spam normals > heroics > pvp or whatever. If you play the game you wont have any issues.

Normal dungeon. No reason to do it on heroic as they have more hp and take longer to kill and only slightly more xp. The xp per hour is faster on normal.

This is my WotLK Classic Character just Copied over to the Cata Beta. I have 277 iLvL ICC 25 Heroic Gear. Its from raiding the past 6-7 months plus Halion 25 Trinket. The end of the video is the templated character created lvl 80's green con 232 ilvl gear. It would be equivalent of buying the 80 Boost from the blizzard store.

there in no point to level up this way as at 85 you will be no gear and no reputation for enchants :) the best way ofc will be to level with qw as well as rep + instatnce for the better gear

well there are people questing and hitting 85 in sub 10 hours with unoptimised routes and they are getting the rep and gear at the same time so it is efficient and even though this is a cool way of doing it, this is not the optimal route.

Nice video I play all tanks but im gunna main Bear and Prot Warr so I havent even re done my DKs talent tree I made a vid of this on Bear and im doing it in 13ish min bout the same for bear I dont have beta so I was unsure the exact amount of xp but its close to same time as you so safe to assume, Also dude said this was nerfed from TBC to WOTLK I solo dung leveled and one of the WoW Devs made a video ssaying if people farmed for bis gear and are able to solo old content to level we wont stop them hopfully they keep that same energy! GL In cata excited af to try all the tanks like I did in wotlk ( Side note you seem to take WAY MORE DMG then I do on bear but you deal alot more dmg so its kinda shity im in full bis almost) But liek I pull the entire side and the boss and drag em all into the room of fire elementals im gunna give DK a try in here mine was 6.4k Gs b4 prepatch so should be more then enough!

Yes I tested with two people as well. You can clear faster but you split the xp. The duo group ended up getting the clear time to 9 min. It was with a boomkin and we tried resto. The resto was easier. You will hit the instance per hour lockout and then you can just either take a break for a little while till it resets or go into a rdf.

If i’m not mistaken they nerfed exp from wotlk sources after lvl 80 for the retail cataclysm launch to prevent this exact method. I believe Kripparian talks about it in his video on his RF 85 retrospective

you should know dungeon exp get nerfed once cata hits by like 40% so questing will still be the best way + you need the rep from Q aswell.

@@MarkSawadzki based off the fact that exp requirements to level were reduced in the same manor as cata and were unmoddified, it would be safe to assume they didn't modify exp values of wotlk mobs to increase them to reach this kind of exp. So the 60% exp reduction (not 40%) will most likely be in effect come cata launch. even only getting like 1m exp/hr might still be worth it compared to compete for quest mobs. you wont get the 2.5m exp/hr from questing at launch because zones will be flooded.

I’ve ran it with dark succor but only later on in level. You don’t want to be out of blood stance so you don’t get crit. Dark succor only works in frost.

Kind of regret not trying to do ICC at all in wotlk. Your videos remind me of all the fun I used to have in it.

It was a lot of fun. Cleared icc in 10/25m each week with the guild. Never killed a boss outside the guild. Just fun to hang out and blast bosses at the end. The progression was stressful and the only fight I hated was blood price.

@@smashaheadbasha with a guild like that there’s no reason to raid with anyone else. That mage is insanely good! And yea, speed running ICC/RS seems fun. I might just try to PUG something to get achievements before cataclysm launches, but even then I’m not too worried.
