Summer was terrible for me with Melton with miles. The spring was good and September, October were the best since I started here.

@leagueofotters2774 I store it on the top bunk. With my 1st bike. I used to connect it to my headache rack. But it was bad on my bike. I was always fixing or replacing something on the bike. But now, no issues. In order to get it in & out of thr truck. I have to take the front tire and the seat with seat post off. Thanks for asking.

I bought a new truck and trailer... im 54 .. retired 😂 but want to travel. My MC is only 3 months old... its been tough and I will admit that. Im learning the ins and outs slowly. Im hoping once I get to the 6 month mark it will get better for me. If i wasnt retired and needed the money I would have had to quit already. I have no bills except my insurance and food. My wife's doc insists she keep heart rate below a certain level so her MAHLE X35-equipped gravel bike kicks assist in when she gets close the the max. Works great, she can ride as hard as she likes again! I use the assist on mine only when the climbs are steep so I fear no climb or a ride too long..there's always that gentle push if I want it. Best wishes on your recovery from surgery!!!

Was flatbed your first trucking job or did you work in another division before you went flatbed? I see videos of guys saying that you should get other experience first but it seems a lot of people have just gone right into flatbed and had not major issues.

@@leagueofotters2774 i knew nothing about trucking, and I got my CDL through CRST; which is a dry van trucking company. I did 10 months and hated every minute I did in dry van. I'd say, if you want to do flatbed. Then start in flatbed. You'll get all the experience and more that you need to drive a truck in flatbed.

I’m 26 and had a mechanical valve put in, I had as discharged on day 2 after the surgery as well. Made a Louisiana record according to the hospital 😂

Awesome video! Would you recommend step-deck trucking for someone who’s bored hauling vans and wants some more action and challenges? I love driving, but I find myself getting bored and losing motivation due to lack of challenges and creativity. Securing a load properly on a step-deck seems something I’d really enjoy doing. Could be wrong lol

@Vlad_Shv i drove dry van for 10 months before I had enough. Like you said. It was boring with zero challenges. Now, five years doing flatbed, and I still love it. I'd say you would enjoy this more than what you are currently doing for sure. Thanks for commenting.

Are things still good at Melton? Ik trucking as a whole has been slow but I’m thinking about going back to melton cuz the money was always good when I was there.

@cellycel7528 I've been here at Melton for 5 years now. I can't speak as to every drivers situation. But mine has been good. The miles for me this year have been consistently over 2000 miles each week. Some weeks have been more. This week, I'm dropping in Canada, and I'll have 3000 miles. I've been fortchent to have a DM that's been with Melton for close to 20 years, and I've had no issues during my time here. So, I think that plays into some of my success. But yes, I think things are good here. I think a lot of how the economy will go. Will be dependent on the election in November. 🤞Come on back
