Every one of those cats was previously captured and taken to the local vet to be spayed/neutered. We chose not to clip ears because the vet was previously too aggressive with that. Too disfiguring.

I don't understand the deal with people feeding all these stray cats. You're not helping them unless you're getting them spayed and neutered. I don't see one ear clip and there's quite a few Toms in this group!!!

Sorry, kids not wearing PFD’s (violation), food left where bears can easily get into it (violation and could have peeled open a tent too). The is a “What not to do” video.

Wow, this has got to be in the top ten of storytelling photo essays of Death Valley National Park. The care of image composition combined with the sound effects and soundtrack are exquisite. The micro and macro balance kept my attention. One literally gets pulled along on this journey through the mining history and geology of Death Valley. I wish the video length extended on and on and on. Thanks for the added touch of editing in your eye-candy graphics. I got a big kick of your Photoshopping the junk car windshield onto the modern highway toward the video's end at minute 10:22. LOL

It is a beautiful place but always use a bear bag when you are away and at night. We just spent 3 days there and had no problems.

are firearms allowed at Utica? ( shotgun: for bear defense)

I camp here every June-July, one of my top favorite campsites.. Tons of jump spots from high rocks and plenty of islands to kayak too.. None motorized so this means two things: no obnoxious boats speeding and one very quite relaxin lake.

So funny because I just returned from buying 3 bear cannisters and assault bear spray. So I'm really relieved to receive this. Have you heard of any cars getting broken into up there lately? And what do you do for your bathroom. Do you use something like a portable PETT. Or do you dig a privy. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you soooo much!

@LoveRise Just got back from three days at Utica - no bears this time. It is nothing like Yosemite - we have been out there many times and only had one bear encounter. We did not use bear canisters - took tote bags and soft coolers. Just don't sleep with your food! Have fun!!
@LoveRise13 жыл бұрын
I'm going to be camping at utica and union and on the video it shows bear activity. And I really need to know how active the bears are in that area to know whether or not to bring a bear cannister. Also will the bears break into your car like they do in yosemite. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Did you bear proof your food and did you bring a cooler?
