Can’t tell if this is satire and I’m not trying to be rude if not: This is very bad for the betta. They need a minimum of 5 gallons to thrive. Will it help the plant? Yes. But it’s condemning the fish to a much shorter lifespan because of the lack of space </3 If you’re able I’d recommend getting the betta a bigger tank. When you change the water save it for the plant. I water my mums garden with my fish tank water and they’re thriving <3 Without the proper space he may nip at his fins because it’ll hinder his movement (he looks like a halfmoon male) which can cause fin rot (also caused by small tanks!) I can also only assume the “tank” isn’t cycled, and due to its small size will experience an ammonia crash, which can k!ll him very quickly if you’re not aware of it.

He was in the pet store in a 3 inch plastic cup on a shelf with a dozen other betta fish. He’s doing much better now, trust me. He’s in the sunshine and getting much better care than where he came from. I change his water every week. He’s perfectly fine. He interacts with me and has a great personality.
@SleepiiGhxst3 ай бұрын
@@TheAdventitiousGardener I wasn’t trying to say you’re not taking care of him, hope it didn’t come off that way! I just know there’s lots of misinformation about betta’s being “minimalistic” fish, when they actually require quite a bit of space. Good to know about water changes, I do hope he lives a long and healthy life!

How often should you change the water? How long can they stay in water (if you like the look)? If you have a house water filter, should you add any minerals/fertilizer?
@TheAdventitiousGardener4 ай бұрын
I changed the water once or twice a week. I've had propagations in water for over a year and they did really well! I use tap water, nothing special - no fertilizer until they're ready to be potted in soil. Have fun! Show me your projects!

Hi I have a beautifull camperdown elm tree in my garden. I noticed recently that I have a few braches falling off the tree, they have white spots on it. The tree blooms amazingly (its beginning of summer). I also noticed that there are a few leaves that turn yellow and then fall off. I read that it due to an insect. I live here in the Netherlands and here they cut off trees if they have this insect. It such a pity. Do you know what I can do to save the tree additionally? I hope you can help me out with some advice.

If you live in a warm state, I’d say leave it and let it do it’s own thing. Let it climb like it’s in Jack and the Beanstalk. You can always take cuttings to start a new indoor houseplant. Plus, you can keep your viewers updated on how it’s growing up on the elm and on the ground.
@score6057 Жыл бұрын
I would leave it and take cuttings from it and start multiple plants
@carolyncoppola974 Жыл бұрын
I also think you should leave as much as you can, but definitely take lots of cuttings - even ones with roots and make a second plant. Also - if you are in cold weather try covering the ground leaves with leaves and debris so maybe it will protect it through the winter months! It has found a happy home! That is its natural environment, unfortunately our homes are not! Let it go….let it grow - as much as possible. Free Mican! 😊.
@hennesseyme9112 Жыл бұрын
Where do you live? I can't leave mine outside year round. If you cut it the whole plant may die, if you leave it outside, the whole plant may die. Maybe cut it back as far down from the pot as you can and take the pot inside for the fall if it will get too cold. If not, then leave it alone.
