The one thing that still surprises me, is the use of the horn for switching sirens. As far as I know, the police here just have a button for that on their dash/steering wheel. Ambulances sometimes have a foot switch (as they tend to be automatics afaik, and you have a spare foot then) Then again.....we don't get three different tones....just the same 2 tones slow, fast or quiet (for night time use) (here being the Netherlands)

Malaysians generally do have a high level of respect towards emergency vehicles. Ambulance, Police Cars and Fire Department. Bcoz we know that somebody's life may be in a dire trouble. Kudos to all of us 😇😇😇

Thanks for your tips. Some things are slightly different in my emergency driving, in fact, I usually use the high tone siren when there is a lot of traffic around here in Florence (Italy) and I usually use low tone siren when traffic is less, because traffic doesn't seem to ear properly low tone sirens here in Italy.

Only 4 phases. Information runs through and feeds into all phases.

But you can use jus information without proceeding to any other phase i.e. you don't necessarily need to be changing position, speed/Gear or accelerating but timed mirror checks for seeing who is behind at regular intervals.

Having lived in Malaysia for years and years, this almost never happens. Let's see him drive through Cheras, Setapak or PJ in rush hour. Then you'll see the true situation. Dont be so proud Malaysians

It always happens my friend. In fact you will never hear the sound of the horn in Kuala Lumpur even in heavy traffic and all the cars parked in reverse. That's Kuala Lumpur style. Unlike other major in southeast asia, motorcycle are so much lesser here. Car dominates the road.

as what i see in Malaysia...to compare with same situation in Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, or Saigon...traffic in Malaysia are more organized and traffic here more obey to road safety and give way to emergency vehicles...Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, Saigon, or even in Dhaka and Delhi, they more unorganized traffic with their tuk tuk or jeepneys, their unconcern and disobeying traffic roads causing more blocked roads.
