My mother was given something for pain when in labor, but too close to when she was about to give birth. My brother was born with brain damage and only recently diagnosed with autism, mostly because of my parents disagreeing about things. But he's very obviously Autistic, and possibly has ADHD too, as well as physical disabilities like dyspraxia. But I do believe there is a connection with pain medication and Autism.

Ultimately, the deal was great for the lawyers and unsatisfactory for the litigants.

So total loss in both ears now digitally enhanced with such a low compensation is nothing to be excited about. Shame on the whole system.

Big win for the lawyers and of course the vets get fucked once again. The lawyer in this video needs to use the cash windfall to get a breast reduction.

What, no answers on why so little of a settlement? Because the veterans dont seem to like it as much as this guy does!

The minimum that was projected was 10 billion. There was outlandish speculation of 100 billion given the bellwether results. That's excessive and would never happen. But I dont think that its out of line to demand a 25 billion settlement. The average around the lawfirms were speculating a 20 billion dollar settlement. The thing that is throwing a monkeywrench into it is the actual number of cases. The actual number is 256,000ish. That number keeps getting inflated to 300,000 when in reality that number will end up being less than 256,000 when its all said and done. Now at 25 billion with 256,000 people that comes out to approximately $100,000, which is 4% of the average bellwether result. After 40% lawyer fees veterans are looking at $60,000 over 5 years which is only going to equate to about $1,000 a month. When talking about permanent hearing damage and the liable company denying that the product is faulty and refusing to admit guilt as part of the settlement agreement, I think $60,000 is more than fair. But as it sits with this current offer 3m is saying that our permanent disabilities are our own doing and that $200 a month should be enough to pay for the damages. The lawyers representing the veterans should be ashamed of having this offer being released. Its an absolute joke. No one in their right mind thinks that $8,600 is a fair number, nor will they accept it.

Who ever was in charge of negotiating for the vets needs to be investigated for conflicts of interest immediately! Everyone priced in a 10 BILLION estimate so the lawyers managed to let 3M talk them down 4 Billion…

I will not be accepting their settlement offer that is a joke for the tinnitus and hearing loss i have.

As a veteran in this lawsuit, I feel like the only people winning are the lawyers! Sounds like, lf im lucky I may get $8,000 paid out over 5 years, so a hundred dollars a month for losing my hearing in my left ear. Kinda of wish I didn't do it just so they don't get my 40%!
