I played mater dei in the playoffs twice in high school( 03-07). Their team probably had maybe 2-3 black players.0 Samoans. This new mater dei teams looks like a Long Beach poly team in the 90's and early 2000's. and you add coach Laura lol. same with bosco. played them every year. They were an avg football team. Look how time has changed!

As a Corona Centennial alumni still proud of them. I’m class of 98 and back then we were like division 3, now Corona Centennial is a top national powerhouse, they came out of nowhere for those who don’t know. Mater Dei has always been a powerhouse longer before centennial.

Henry shouldve stayed in Ohio ...he had the wrong idea about what is happening in California..you have to grow up here and play youth ball here to be able to hang with us on the field...he didnt impress m eon tape in Ohio...he has no fast twitch muscles and zero technique...he was just tall and those Ohio DBs had no technique or brains...Cali kids are on a different level

I only know of one player(Perry Klein played at Palisades HS) that moved within the district to actually play at our school as most if not all of our players were and are home grown from Carson and Wilmington......but please go ahead and enlighten us with name(s) of those so called players that moved from all over the country as i'm now intrigued(lol). @parataisocoful is correct, although transfer qb John Walsh should also be mentioned. I grew up in West Carson. Those schools had the market cornered on Samoans since 1970. It was a simple formula. Size and speed. Samoans and Black athletes. The Samoans either left and/or stopped coming years ago and it hasn't been the same since.

He is also bigger Lewis-pocket passer with accuracy Longstreet has more intangibles At Colorado, Deion is going to be pressured to start this kid Day 1 by their groupie fan base! Lewis is small and a sitting target in college= alot or sacks Lewis wouldnt do much against Mater Dei. Longstreet will develop at USC for a year or two and be ready to step right in and if turns out well..he will be in the Heisman race When deion leaves, lewis will hit the portal. Not wise on his part to visit colorado 5 times and not decommit before SC told him they moved on. Big mistake cause the QB trainer for CU isnt Lincoln Riley and if he was, that young man would be on the CU staff...but he isnt SC has a QB coach, Colorado doesnt
