Good advice man. If you are using the truck daily and putting fresh diesel in daily would you still recommend the fuel additive.

If it's getting used daily you will be fine it's just if you will be parking it up and leaving it standing for a long period really.

My XL mitts made this REALLY hard, especially tightening the new 1 in. Resorted to bending the metal bracket out the way and putting a little silicone grease around the lip, after trying everything that could be remotely useful in my toolbox, and nearly an hour of trying 🤬 On an extended note. Wife (her car), only told me the fan wasn't working the other day, saying that for about the last year it had worked only on 4 🤦🏻 The old resistor pack was rusty AF, but still no fans when it got the new 1 in. Any know if its likely to be the motor or the switch that's gone (hopefully not both)?

It's not toooo bad that way for us, maybe get told off if we forget our hard hat or hivis or summit, worst bit is the bloody speed limits on some sites. Like 10mph but the job is about 3 or 4 mile along the strip then the exit it another few mile away and we have no idea where the camera is going to be or if there even is a camera some times...😂

Hello there, man! I see you posting a lot of videos with the Volvo F7. I was wondering maybe if you could tell me, are these worth much today? I have two of them. But they're both rigid six wheel tippers though.. not artics. They haven't really been used in probably 10-15 years. They've been parked up in my yard I drove one of them when I was very young. I used to move sand with it. But they're both in very good, used condition. One has an insulated body, I think it was used as a tar lorry prior to my Father owning it. They're good and solid and the cabs are both very good on them. Both of then were tested and drove to were they are today. Just been sitting up a while. One in particular was owed by a man from new and he thoroughly treated the cab with sealant or waxoyl or something to keep it in mint condition. My Father had a small contracting business back in the day and they both belonged to him. They seem to be very rare today.. so I never actually see any for sale, so I've no idea what they're worth. I also have an FL6 and a Foden 3325 with the Cummins engine. Also used to have Leylands but the Leylands are sold. There was a Bison and a Reiver.
@ThePhilBilly24 күн бұрын
@@Sinnerboy88 they are certainly worth saving! They are going up in value too, where abouts are you based I would love to possibly come have a look and I might even know a couple people who might be interested
@Sinnerboy8824 күн бұрын
The Foden was great lorry too! It had the crash box and the big Cummins engine. I drove it too and it was like day and night power wise compared to the F7s.. the power it had you wouldn't even feel a load on it. It was a tar lorry also. It has a insulated body as well. I'm not sure if it's a Charlton or a Neville Charrold. My Dad used to say it was "Chariot" body.. and from his talk it was a very good lorry body. I think he was likely mispronouncing it. I look online and from what I see there's Charlton and Charrold two names that make bodies for tippers in England. I'll have a look at it and see if I can find any plates or name on it.

Excellent video. A showman in a neighbouring village still runs two ERF EC10s. is this your typical night shift for a tarmac 8 wheeler driver? Only 1 load and then is it sit and wait for plainings and then back to the yard? Thats my dream wagon 👌

It all depends, on this job it's 1 load then home usually, if your last wagon you end up with the waste to take away but not alot of company's do that, I know some tarmac jobs you do 2 or 3 loads but it's all pretty similar.
