Thanks for showing this. Regarding the Bluetooth receiver: Is it possible to change the initial name, that you will see on your mobile phone before you pair the phone to the receiver? We have a situation with more receivers not that far from each other and many users with different devices to output sound via Bluetooth. It will be nice to set names beforehand, that is easy to understand by the users.

To rename your BTC-2X: 1) Download and install the Russound BTC-2X Naming App from either the App Store or the Google Play Store. 2) With the BTC-2X powered up, within Bluetooth range, and already paired to your phone, open the BTC-2X Naming App. 3) The app should automatically discover all Russound BTC-2X devices within range. You can refresh the screen by swiping down in the app. 4) Once your BTC-2X is discovered, select it and tap “Connect”. Once connected, you can enter a new Bluetooth name and tap “Enter”. 5) Your BTC-2X has now been configured with the new name.

i have russound controls attached to legacy speakers that existed before i bought my property, as such i have no manuals, when the video is referring to total number of speakers does that mean speakers connected to the amp or specifically speakers downstream of the volume control?

Hi, do you know where I can find a firmware update files for USB? My Mca-66 is out of network and I can't even reset. The last try is to updte the firmware from usb but i don't know where to fine files for it. Thanks in advance

Hey Ben. I just bought a 13 year old house and it's been wired up with an EATON A-Bus system. Did Russound take over this product? I've got ceiling speakers in various rooms, along with 8 different wall mounted control pads. In the basement, there are lots of ethernet cables in wall panel going into an EATON A-BUss boss. Finally, there are 4 input panels on the wall to plug speaker wire into. The previous home owners left a note suggesting there are 4 zones (which aligns with those 4 input panels). I don't have a conventional amplifier to test this out as I only play music from my Iphone and broadcast it to a wireless speaker. Would these BTA 2 Bluetooth modules allow me to stream from my phone, to the BTA module and then play music over these speakers? Would the wall mounted control panels be used (other than to hardwire into the BTA module) or would everything be run from the phone? THanks James
Way to go. You invested a whole 7 seconds to the Bluetooth function. Didn't feel the need to explain what to do when it asks for a pin code. Now I researched this and found that the default pin code is 1234. But it didn't work. So what do I do now? I also found something that states the name for the Bluetooth is like ULLISES or something close to that. Which also doesn't show. It says MIX60. But again, its not working.

I want to say my peace before being done with Russound forever. I was an installer once in the Austin area. On my personal 12-zone system in my home, your flagship controller, MCA-66, failed within the first 5 months. This was a replacement system for your prior generation--which never worked properly with the app--from 2015 when I built the house. You repaired the new MCA-66 under warranty because it would not boot and would not accept a USB restoration. That alone should have meant it was faulty. But no, you somehow cobbled it back together while I lived with 6 out of 12 zones. After a month, I was up and running again. Well, as I suspected, the repair did not take and the MCA-66 does the exact same thing. Still in warranty, so I get to break down this whole system again and send it back. Even so, you don't even reply to RA Request emails. Shame on you. Well, NO MORE. If you want to treat your brand like a joke, well you go right ahead. I am done with Russound finally and forever and I am glad of it. I was once a brand advocate and dealer but now I will delight in telling my story. This pile of Russound crap in my house which cost the same as a used luxury car is now removed to be sold as parts on eBay. I have upgraded to Home Theater Direct. Better interface, more power, lower cost, easier access to tech and support, better app.
