I have become angry so many times in my life. I fear, I have no single ounce of good karma left. 😭

Anger, like all emotions, arises and passes away. It is not a permanent stain upon your being but a wave that can be understood and transformed. Like all emotions, it is transient. It comes and goes, leaving no permanent mark unless we cling to it. Recognise that each moment is a fresh start, a chance to cultivate positive thoughts and actions

@@thedhamma Yes, anger arises and passes away, but I think there are several things to consider: 1. Your mindfulness and strength of mind has to be developed quite well in order to just observe the arising and passing of anger. Usually, I think, most people, me included, become entangled in the content of their anger, become overwhelmed by it and forget to just observe. 2. As you write: anger leaves no permanent mark "unless we cling to it": Every moment of anger that is not met with equanimity strengthens the pattern of anger in the mind. It leaves an imprint or a seed in the store consciousness that may lead to another moment of anger. 3. Probably, once the pattern of anger has become very strong, then maybe an outburst of unbridled anger may have the strenght to eradicate innumerable seeds of good kamma??

Your insights are profound, and indeed, cultivating mindfulness to observe anger without entanglement requires patience and consistent practice. Regular meditation and loving-kindness practices can gradually weaken ingrained patterns of anger. Remember, every moment offers a fresh start, and small steps in mindfulness and compassion can significantly transform our emotional responses over time. Be gentle with yourself, celebrate small victories, and trust in the process of gradual change. May you find strength and peace on your journey.

I find wrong, spending time and giving time to every thing that is uncomfortable. This is not good advice for starters or youtube because it needs deeper understanding previously. I think thats advice for a monk

This makes a lot of sense. I have extreme anxiety about public speaking, yet I'm a school teacher. When I'm teaching my students, all I think about is the content and their needs for understanding, there's literally no space in my mind for self consciousness to take over. I am going to try and use this strategy for speaking in other situations now.
Sadhu what a wonderful teaching. More understanding of the word nature just arose in me. 🙏🙏🙏
