Hi Chris, just one question: how do you add some slight vibration, like real steel players do by moving the bar? I can’t find such mode /effect in Ink Steel itself… any suggestion?

Another great vid Chris, cooking your sounds like a Michelin chef ⭐⭐⭐⭐👌🏿 As a non-guitar player I've investigated Jon Meyer's free Rubber Bridge Pluck plugin by Somerville Sounds, such a calming vibe it gives, never thought about combining them with electric guitars though, but hearing the sound they give.......I'm sold....very inspiring indeed, keep em' comin' dude

Checked it over the last 2 days and returning to Amazon. This isn't a professional kit but an expensive toy with severe limitations. 2GB of ram - they say it's enough - it isn't when you load the plugins they have in shop. It generally speaking struggles to be consistent in Music Maker so the volume / effects are out of control totally. Same with some bizarre noises at the start of the loop - like the loop was played before it and there's nothing.... bizarre. I like the arranger - is pretty hefty but the touchscreen is not the best so it leaves you exercising rather than actually easily delete / add notes there. Waiting now for the courier to pick this nonsense up. £666.00 is way too much for it. Don't forget that the plugins are extremely expnsive for it. I rather pull together some other stuff. For example Arturia has Ableton Live Lite and some V packs of sound engines in it. The only difference is that you putting together songs on your laptop/computer and that's not a problem for me at all. Even better when I think about it because the internal keyboard / stations arrangers are terrible and very limited. So... if you planning to buy it for moblity purposes - maybe, for fun probably... but I don't mind taking my laptop with me. Samplers and beats - the beat pads are really good. The best I have tried so far. The sampling and mixing samples - haven't checked that because I don't do it. I make stuff from scratch when I do and this isn't the best console for that. The keybed - meh... It sometimes triggers the sound, sometimes not. I checked the settings and I found pad sensitivity options but not the keys themselves which is a bummer again... Terrible buy. Also they withrew the previous Akai 61 keys from production or buying in UK - either or - and it had more sounds in it, 4GB of ram and peopel were happier about it. The system takes 900mb from ram itself at iddle. When it loads stuff suddenly a problem occurs. Nope. Not for that money. Someone said 'Akai is dominating!' - well... they will ruin you financially that's for sure, very soon. What they are coming for is your money now - the fun is over seems to be.

Waddup Chris, You don't need me to tell you that I copped this IMMEDIATELY. I have been waiting a long time for Leslie's fave 'Little Labs Voice of God' plugin to drop in Native form, but when this dropped [just in time for my album mixing sessions] I was so pleased. A great collab between Safari Pedals and Leslie Brathwaite, continually knockin' 'em out of the park for real. Keep 'em coming amigo. Great vid dude!

Thanks for the support dude, I know what you mean. Abletons full suite isn’t cheap but I still urge people to look into it as the additional audio plugins you get are so worth it. I'm on a quest for that bark. The best example I can think of is Ray Obiedo's stuff. The Arturia seems to have it more than the others, but I think I'll stay with the Lounge Lizard, since none of these appear to be better. I also like the built-in EPs in Logic Pro, but those have very little bark. As for built-in effects in a plug-in, I see those as nothing more than distractions. My DAW has all the efx needed, and I've yet to see any built in to plugins that are better.

I like the MPC37 functionality but the sounds included out of the box are only mediocre. The extra packages are a diffinately an improvement but that's over $600 for a full set of the extra packages that's mostly just your basic piano, organ, and strings. Too expensive! 😢
@TheChrisVella
@TheChrisVella 24 күн бұрын
Yeah it’s quite steep to own everything. I think this video is mainly showing off all the sounds available and then people are free to decided what they vibe with. It’s more of an example thing, but I know what you mean it is quite expensive to own all the additional sounds.

Live with an MPC? Funny! Maybe playing backing tracks! It’s too slow loading sounds for transitions and changes. Maybe as a controller? I would use a stage piano, arranger keyboard, or workstation synth for live performance. I don’t know what you do live but I wouldn’t even contemplate it beyond a controller and I have three MPCs, one is a Key 61 with twice the RAM. I don’t what you’re thinking. MPCs are great for composition and production. It’s in the name “music Production Center”. They don’t have the immediacy for live performance how I think of live performance.

It’s not a big issue in its intended use as a Music Production Center. Anyone talking about using one live is on some other stuff.

I thought it was good to see how the heavyweight sounds would hold up against each other. It’s a shame it starts to run out of CPU but I’m sure there’s smaller versions that have less going on which will be more forgiving on the cpu.
