as a motorcycle rider and racer over 50 years and having ridden everything, including restoring vintage Vespas, and the latest gps, I had to conclude that these are not safe highway speed scooters. the 12 inch wheels are the main issue, but the short wheelbase and body is like a a sail in high wind. I once was blown into oncoming traffic by a wind gust. It almost laid the bike down, but I'll never forget that incident. My Yamaha X max 300, and my Piaggio BV 400, and even my Honda Adv 150 are far more stable at speed. Vespas were not designed for interstate highways, although the extra power certainly helps. They are wonderful urban runarounds. They do well on European twisties where the speed rarely exceeds 55. The XMAX300 and BV400 feel far safer at 90 MPH than the GPS does at 50.. need bigger tires to be safe on highways, no way around this! Passing by a semi truck puts you at risk of a crash from the turbulence. I think it's dangerous that these are even marketed as highway worthy. Sorry, IMO they are NOT..

The Razkul with a Zhongshan motor would increase horsepower down low but with that 4 speed transmission it's not going to help you top end. The transmission is going to restrict you badly for speed. If you could marry the Zhongshan motor to one of the 5 speed higher geared transmissions or better yet a 6 speed high geared transmission with like a high rev "granny low " first and second gear... amazing. If it could be warranteed... PERFECT bike. Probably just wishful thinking tho.

Good video! I hot my 76 AMF Harley back in 93. I still have. It won't end up in a pond or as target practice for KZbin video. These people crying over Harley. They forgotten about the AMF years. Harley came back from that they will from this. If not time will tell. For those that say will buy an Indian. They forget Polaris wants to change the name because of Indian they deemed offensive. They also forget a real Indian hasn't been made in years. It's not the Indian chief the Indian scout the Indian papoose. These bikes are called Polaris Indian.

The fact that he didn't realize it was extremely out of touch to destroy a motorcycle that plenty of people would love to own but they're too busy trying to keep the rent paid and groceries on the table. I think the only legitimate criticism he made was Harley moving their manufacturing overseas but he could have raised that criticism without wrecking a bike. Harley only used pride flags in their marketing because young people aren't as into the brand or motorcycles in general (partially for economic reasons which makes wasting money on ammo to destroy a bike an even bigger slap in the face) as previous generations so they're just using tainbow capitalism to appeal to the youth, I don't think they had any "agenda" other than marketing and selling bikes. I also like the point you brought up about him using Chinese ammo and depriving american parts and labor being used to maintain those bikes. He also paid to promote the video so I'm not sure how much money he even ended up making anyhow minus the ammo cost, both bikes, and presumably renting some the machine guns. He clearly had money to throw away so idk if him making money off the video or just general clout was the motive but either way I found it super embarrassing and in his second video where he destroyed another bike he said "I dontate to all kinds of good causes" when talking about how people raised the criticism that he could have donated the bike to a veteran and then completely blows past it and doubles down destroying another bike, dude is a complete clown 😂

Wrong. The BMW C650 Gt was build right here in Berlin. The engine was built by Kymco and put into the bike at the BMW Factory in Berlin Spandau.

Thank you for setting this issue in context. The enthusiasm to destroy a quality American company in the name of "anti-wokeness" is incomprehensible as it is outrageous. The company has just launched its best spec, fit and finish of its bikes in history and the response - we do not like your philosophy. If the wokeness led to preferred customer pricing favoring a minority group I would understand the concern. This is not so.

It's the same vocal minority that made this a thing. These guys are so easily played it's funny. They call everyone a "snowflake" that doesn't agree with them but they are the ones offended by everything. A corporate initiative. Something for their workers. Reminds me of the trump voter in Iowa screaming about the border and immigrants taking their jobs. And now they celebrate. "They won" in the mean time HD ships production overseas (something these guys should give a damn about) and they don't care. I almost think Harley let this go on just to mask the fact they were shipping product to Thailand to be made. This became the bigger story, they caved (during Sturgis?) and these old white guys celebrate. Harley makes cool bikes. Hell they all Do. But if I'm going to get a foreign made bike I'm not paying the same as one made here with Union Labor making a liveable wage. It's just like Vespa. Premium Product, workers are making a Union wage, you can justify it over something made in Thailand or China.

I always ride wearing swazees and s s bolts and have them on my bike. My bike was debadged back in 1990. I agree with you and not shooting the bike. The bike isn't the problem. Badging the bikes with swazees and s s bolts would send a clear message right back to the original source.

What part of woke doesn't everyone like? Every company that has employees of a different race, culture, religion, ethnicity or orientation is a woke company. That pretty much makes virtually every company woke. Or are people being selectively woke...some parts of woke are okay and some parts are not?

Yeah, I wouldn't destroy my transportation either but I'll never spend a dime on a Harley. Harley is against 1) God, 2) Family, 3) Country, despite any trite policy change memo they may issue. You're right, the bikes don't take but your money does and who you give it to say's something about you.
