I wish he would just do these in Spanish so he could explain himself more fully.

All I am seeing in your example videos are players getting extremely lucky and dribbling out of pressure.

Dribbling is essential of football

Very helpful video. Please make more videos like this. Explain the 2nd and 3rd thirds of the attack. Also, since you showed how to attack, please show how to defend as well. Explain pressing and containment.

Although the drills may be useful, I feel baited by using Pep. Do these tactics come from Pep’s training sessions, a book of his, or academies he’s directed? If so, would you please provide a link or reference to Pep as the source. If not you are misleading and this is clickbait.

Bernat trained my son and several of his teammates for 2 years. The best, best training they've ever had! Most of the kids grew immensely in their habits and thus their play. These guys aren't just talking story, this is real. Unfortunately at a certain age all the boys must return to their club for their primary training and where the coaches don't know these concepts and don't support the concepts and I've seen habits fade in many. If I were a coach, this is the best training period - I'd take their course. And if I could have had Bernat continue training our son I absolutely would have.

The players want to get moving, so get them going in 30 seconds or less Use a Command Style to put the players where you want them. Using a walk-though,show them the mothe movement of the players and the ball Ask if they understand or have questions Start running the drill In the first two minutes: Observe, don't talk Goldy Locks principle: Is the working area too big, too small or just right? Do I have balls and other equipement conveniently placed? Do the players have a clear understanding of what you have asked for? Do you need to move anyone to a simpler position to get things working? What is the level of the players: Beginner, Average or More Advanced? Based on #4, what will be your first point of intervention? (Move from simple to complex) Start introducing your coaching points. Don't over-coach, and don't stop them too much, they hate it. Allow for liberals periods of uninterrupted play where you use voice over coaching (gentle reminders).

the number 6 is a defensive-mid / deep-lying playmaker. The "heart of the team" is usually ascribed to a box-box midfielder such as the number 8 (think steven gerrard)

This helps understanding the movements and positioning but in this situation, wouldn't we want the CB to dribble to attract pressure to create a free player?

Can you tell me in the 4v4+3 what's the 1/2 way line for? The video says they have to attack from there so I think it's so they have to cross the line with the ball before they can score? Thanks

Hello, very good content with great visuals. I want to understand more on 2:38 which the position of the winger is narrower than the ADM and nearly forming straight line with CDM which in real game is rarely happen. Suppose the winger mostly stay wide?

How does your methodology develop great dribblers? RONDOs, positional games whatever you call them are all mainly focused on passing and receiving skills. Pep always has great dribblers in his teams - Foden, Grealish, Silva, Mahrez, etc.

Thank you for your comment! As highlighted in our courses "Early Stage: Understand the Player to Develop the Talent" and "APFC Training Structure", we emphasize the importance of drills that offer players ample freedom and consistent ball control. This approach ensures that players are actively engaged and continuously honing their skills. Additionally, through Basic Situations, SSP, and SSG, we create environments where players have the opportunity to dribble and score, further enhancing their on-field decision-making and execution. We believe in a holistic approach to player development, ensuring they are well-rounded and prepared for various game scenarios. Hope this provides clarity!
