Hi bro! Impressive driving! Some cars are very slow at the straights, why? Or they are lapped cars?
@jacktritton10 күн бұрын
Hi Mate, There are a couple of different classes on the grid so some have slower engines

The MS chassis has been very good for me and it's handling so well. It's taken 2 years of development to get it to how I like it but it's now handling perfectly.

This was the first meeting where I had used a different rear wing setup, and normally I always suffered with understeer. Since the upgraded rear wing, the front was so positive and pointy, it took some getting use to.

36:24 walked over a barking tree spider. A very elusive species found all around the world. Sometimes they are silent while others may be heard through out the room. The smell could be gentle yet some could bring down the room like with a smell so bad you thought a chemical attack may be in play. Most will laugh some will choke and few will puke. Swamp has my a$$

Stupid question probably, so forgive my ignorance, but why no flappy pedal shifters on the steering wheel or steering column? Seems that would be much faster than the handle that's being used here? If they're steering wheel-mounted, it would also mean you wouldn't have to let go of the wheel to shift. Is it due to regulations? Or some other, technical reason? Or am I perhaps mistaken and it wouldn't be faster? In any case, that was some awesome racing, wow those are some high speeds with such a small vehicle. Awesome to watch, truly, you have some serious skill. Takes guts as well to go that fast in a vehicle that doesn't offer all that much protection, which means it's mostly skill that's keeping you safe
@Tristan_M279Ай бұрын
There are also Karts with paddle shifters. But it seems like they are rarely seen and not that popular
@BinaryBlueBullАй бұрын
@@Tristan_M279 Interesting to know, thanks a lot for the feedback. That tells me that, as a layman, I'm missing something and there will be a reason they're not all that popular. Perhaps technical, perhaps financial, perhaps mechanical, perhaps performance-based.... but there will be a reason for it
@jacktritton10 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment and kind words. There is one kart on the grid with a paddle shift that they made for themselves. I agree with you that it would be better to have paddle shifts but no one makes them to sell at the minute and the driver that has them has been trialling it to see how he gets on. Hopefully it will be something we can buy in the future or look at making ourselves.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately test days are very limited for superkarts and you only get test days the day before a race meeting. If you wanted to have a go, you can look at doing the Darley Moor Superkart Race school.

134mph in a little kart? That's brown pants time. I did 138mph on a motorway once in a big estate car and thought that was bloody fast, but this is insane...... must feel like much more than that in a little 'toy sized' kart.
