What is the actual part name of that rear bracket pivot arm thing at 5:15 , 7:00 , 17:00 ? My right rear one is broke in half and I keep trying to look up replacement parts but not having any luck without the proper part name. I don't know if maybe I can get someone to weld it or something if I can't find one.
@JustinBiddix2 күн бұрын
I really don’t know what that’s called. You should be able to weld it

Wow Thanks. Why did you use a resistor instead of a jumper wire? The 3 wires on my kickstand sensor are Green, Black (center wire) and Pink. Not sure which is positive or negative. So should I put a resistor on my Pink and Green wire, leaving the black untouched? Thank you for your service.

Umm I know nothing about mowing, I have a couple acres and tired of relying on outside help to mow it so I looked on OfferUp the other day and found a 8yr old Hustler 60” and bought it for $3000. It has a broken idler pulley need to fix that then go. Man is this thing a hotrod mower, I buzzed through the field drunk last night no blades going and it was hilariously fun. Did I do good at $3k 😊??

I haven't tried any newer Shindaiwa units. All of mine are pre-buyout (oldest is 2006), and still going strong. I gave up Stihl long ago. Their engines are way too finicky, and don't tolerate modern gas AT ALL, regardless of what mix you use. When the last Stihl gave up the ghost, I bought a used Shindaiwa at a municipal auction for $20. It has consistently outperformed and outlasted any of my previous units, and had untold hours of municipal use before I even purchased it. I've since bought two more, and they will likely be my last gas units... as I've went all electric, and will probably never go back. I don't care of they're underpowered, or a battery doesn't last as long as a full tank. My wall outlet is my new gas tank, amd my hearing protection. My maintenance and operating costs have never been lower.

I have a 2010 Hustler Super Z with a 72 inch deck, and trying to find how to place in neutral to tow. Do you have information on how to disengage the hydraulic? I am having issues find information that I need. Appreciate the help!
@JustinBiddix20 күн бұрын
Yeah, if it’s like mine. Lift the seat to access the hydro pumps. There is one pump on each side. There’s a bolt on the side of each pump. Probably about a 17mm bolt. Kinda hard to get a wrench on but it is possible. Twist those bolts counter clockwise till they stop and it will be in neutral

@JustinBiddix20 күн бұрын
Killing the grass would yield higher quality results. But if you get a thick enough layer of dirt on top say probably at least 3 inches you should be fine without killing the grass

Stihl has let everybody down. It's not just trimmers... it's all of their smaller equipment. I can't speak on their larger equipment... but anything with an engine 36cc or less is more maintenance-hungry than my kids.

I gotta say im surprised how flimsy those tie downs are thats crazy. I bought an equipment trailer off kaufman rated for 15k lbs delux model and its built way better. I have a totally sealed plug the entire way and all the tie downs are welded to a heavy c channel beam so its solid. At the end of the day there are better trailers out there but its hard to justify spending almost double for a trail king or some other good brand when its really going to get the load there anyway. Honestly ill say this the lights and paint arent the best but the frames they make seem to be really beefy and dexter axle comany is a reputable brand and many others use them. Ill be buying a 25 ton tag trailer off them next! If its a trailer thats maxed out 24/7 non stop work might want to spend a little more and go with trail king itll hold up better but if youre using it a few times a week or whatever itll last forever. I been using mine daily lately to move excavators and heavy steel plates maxed out. Holding up great so far havnt had a single problem in over 2.5 years. I grease it every few months and keep it clean hopefully last me for years and years to come! Thanks for the video man 😊
@JustinBiddixАй бұрын
Hey thanks for this comment. Super informative. I like to hear what other people think who actually have experience with the equipment/products. I agree with what you are saying. I still use this trailer at least a handful of times a month. It gets the job done for me! Definitely nicer trailers out there but I’m still grateful for this one.
@johnzadinya2181Ай бұрын
@@JustinBiddix absolutely! I did a lot of research and when it comes to the frame kaufman really has the same specs as any major brand. Same beam size, spacing, and pound per foot steel. I got my 15k trailer from them for 6500 out the door. Other brands like trail king or XL were way over 10 even 15k and up. How can I justify spending 2-3x the amount when the frame is identical you know? Yes I'm sure trail king maybe has slightly better welds and who knows maybe their steel is slightly better but maybe not. Either way I can buy 3 kaufmans for 1 of theirs. 1 major brand will not outlast 3 of them and I normally use mine maybe 2 or 3 times a week on average sometimes daily but I can vouche for kaufman honestly they make excellent trailers for the price. Not the highest quality but to spend a fraction of the cost I probably will only buy kaufman from here on not to mention they have no dealers which Other companies can't stand. Buy from them direct! Thanks for the video

@@JustinBiddix thanks. Gonna try my hand at a full lawn renovation. Uneven, humps, dips, holes, very little grass, a whole lot of blackberries and weeds. Going to spray, scrape and dispose of blackberry patches, rough grade, then probably spread topsoil. Then sod. Maybe I won't need a harley rake or aerator since I'm going all new topsoil.
