I agree , It was like they were made to go together, and the 2500 cars go great with a lot of postwar engines that did not get their own consists

The 2037 did have, smoke ,six wheel drive, three position e-unit, a light , and magnetraction, add a whistle tender, or on a modest layout a whistle shed, you have all the play value of lionel's better engines. I have had one of mine for more than 30 years

@@krtrains123 I don't have one but if I stumble across one at a swap meet for a good price, I'd probably go for it.
