Those were the days OPEN COCKPIT MIDGETS (SPEEDWAY). NOTHING BEATS THOSE MAIN EVENTS AT THE SYDNEY ROYALE. VERY BRAVE DRIVERS IN 60s. HOW MORE DRIVERS WERE NOT KILLED IS BEYOND ME. NO ROLL CAGES THEN. GOSH I MISS THOSE YEARS. WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE THE ACTION IN THAT ERA. THANK YOU Mr SHERWOOD (PROMOTER) FOR STAGING THOSE EVENTS. WELL DONE JOHN. FROM A SPEEDWAY FAN. I laugh at the moto x guys with there fancy suspension 50hp and BRAKES ,these guys today have 80hp 2inches of rubber band forks up front ridgid rear ,and balls you need a dump truck to carry them in !! BTW do you have any old footage of a rider called Jack White from 60's I think ,great video man !!

do you even know the definition of full contact? Watch kudo, shinken shobu kyokushin, it's this but with gloves and head strikes. Kyokushin prioritizes the toughness of the fighter, and they do teach all the things you expect from karate, head punches, blocks, dodging, footwork, I know this because I do practice Kyokushin. There are too much that can happen if you allow head punches, bare knuckles, extremely high chance of injuries, for both the puncher and the "patient", if you look at bare knuckles mma and boxing, there is at least some sort of wrappings to protect the hands. Of course, tournament karate, no matter the styles is always somewhat handicapped, wkf shotokan also suffers from tournament rules. What I would love to see is less full contact gut punching kyokushin and a lot more of shinken shobu kyokushin, even with gloves because kyokushin karateka would pay more attention to punching in the head, defending against them and develop faster reflex

@@tritruongminh9941 yep as a shotokan karateka I completely agree I hope kudo would get more popular or full contact shotokan bc we have some tournaments her and their that's full contact but I'd hope it's standard or In the Olympics

@@tritruongminh9941 The definition of full contact to me includes striking to the head albeit with gloves.

@tritruongminh9941 2 жыл бұрын
@@stardust-hr8wh thats mma's full contact. Mas oyama didnt like the idea of gloves and protections so he made his students fight without them, but then if someone gets punched in the face rapidly, the injuries would be too bad. This is why you can still kick to the face because its impractical to continuously aiming for the face when kicking, you could get thrown down or get your leg swept

@@jamessimpson6487 Think of it this way. If i can block a straight punch and a straight kick, which fly directly to target, then i can definitely block a hook kick or crescent kick which don't fly straight to target.

Good question!! Wish I knew what happened to him to. I used to think he was related to Johnny Tapp, the old Horse Race caller on channel 9, I was very wrong about that. But, Tapp isn't exactly a common surname is it? So I suppose you could be excused for thinking that in the first place!!

Hi Robert I was wondering if you could help me out. My mother passed away a few years ago. She told me my biological father was Johnnie Stewart the race car driver from the 60's, I have been trying to find any information on him I can as he has no knowledge about me. I need to know if there are any pictures anywhere of this driver so that I can compare myself to him as I look nothing like any of my siblings and I do not have any of the health problems that my family has/had basically i want to know where i came from truth be told i have my doubts. My mother swears up and down that he is my real father, he was born in August 194? he had sandy blonde hair and killer blue eyes, freckles I have that and nobody else in my family does. i hope you can help me i've been searching for years i'm 57 and was told about him when i was 15
