I believe this was recorded in their studio in Stockholm, but could be wrong.

Morning bled at the water's edge The city was bringing me down And my mind was on a ledge Saying who's gonna help you now? Without sun we pull what feeds us From the heat that's in-between us How can we expect to build a boat Seagulls running everything Hard, you make it hard, hard It's all the opposite I think The ladder runs side to side Enough to make you want a drink But there's no place to hide Watching shadows within Shadows within shadows They hide their dark self from the sun And her voice is just a memory You're not fooling anyone Hard, you make it hard, hard Hard, you make it hard, hard Morning bled at the water's edge The city was bringing me down And my mind was on a ledge

PS .. I adore the song and the emotions that the musicians exude… PS I always felt sorry for any musician relegated to the xylophone but the Xy here guy makes this song profound … without him it would be not be as spiritual

Any thoughts on location where was it filmed / recorded?

all i know is that it was recorded as part of the "Myspace Transmissions", but don't have much more information than that: www.discogs.com/release/3636731-Miike-Snow-The-MySpace-Transmissions

@@trondrew Thanks SP much for your videos of this group and timely kind reply .. ever grateful… maria I think it was set in a place that most ( fortunate) people might be able to relate to with fond memories… a mountainous region where M’s haunting voice reverberates and the subtle talent of the Xylophone player resonates through the ages…😊

Thank you for posting this video. It is by far the most moving song I've ever heard. Seeing it performed without the concert lights and fog machines is nothing short of mesmerizing.

Crazy to think I've been listening to these guys for 13 years now. Absolutely love everything they've put out. Self Titled will always be my personal favorite though. Cult Logic, Sans Soleil, and Song For No One are my go to songs.

I've had the album on full repeat for weeks... probably 3-4 months at this point, via Pandora. The remarkable thing was Billie Holliday (bonus track) was one that strangely wasn't on their list, thus I hadn't heard it until I decided to buy 2 copies of it for Christmas gifts. One for myself, and the other for my sister. The second it started playing, I completely lost it... All of the songs I had been listening to for months at that point just PALED in comparison. I doubt if there is anyway to repeat that experience with another song in my entire life!
