I don't know how much else is on film, but apart from the brief glimpse of Monty, the poppies, and the Red Devils, to me this footage is mainly about the US. I am well versed with Pompey and recall personnel from all over manned the ships, flew the aircraft and spilled their blood on the beaches. I'm not sure remembering them with the jitterbug is really appropriate. Also, does anyone ever stop to think of those poor sodding bastards in the Wermarcht, Kreigsmarine and Luftwaffe who did their duty as well. No. Not Nazis but poor bloody Servicemen just like ours.

The Guard Company looked good. The rest of the squads were a shambles. Arms should not be bent at the elbow and should rise exactly to shoulder height. They need to smarten up ! Squad halting was dismal. It’s as though squad drill is a rare occurrence. Ex navy 1960’s

The video is horrible... not everyone records a video with a mobile phone and uploads it to KZbin. Watch Lenny Windsor and learn how it's done, you have no pulse and no focus. This is constructive criticism.

So it wasn't a professional video ... Can you think of nothing else to post, such as, "It was great to see the Royal Navy march through the town" or "Thanks to the military who daily put their lives at risk defending us" or "I'm so proud to see this"?

I ran for 1 mile in 1984 in massachusetts, we had a cadre runner for most runners, as a support . I sold my torch..lol

I greatly enjoyed this. I grew up with 150 milkers back east,massachusetts and i left when i got older...Farm is gone from cows, but sold land for homes...oh well..
