That’s super noisy! Seems more so than the 5. Other than the noise, do you find it to be a good skimmer may I ask?

It took quite a while to break in and for the noise to stop but in the end it does work pretty well.

I had something similar going on with two MP10's and both ended up having broken ceramic shafts. (Thankfully while still under warranty.)

Had same problem till I raised my sump water level high enough to cover all the openings on that lower section and it has worked perfect since. Nothing else worked. I didn't want my water that high and had to make a skimmer stand.

I was the same way but finally bit the bullet. It's almost doubled in size. Everyone I've talked to say to only buy aquacultured gonis. Gonis from the wild are the ones that don't last long in most tanks.

FYI Have one and it did that. Check your alignment on the roll. If its not lined up straight I see this. When I adjust the felt, stops happening on that roll.

How is that overflow working for you so far? Any adjustments that you made during the install compared to their instructions?

It's working great. Still as silent as ever. The only time I hear noise is when I need to adjust the gate valve because of not enough water in the outter box. I still have a theory that the water level in a tank rises and falls due to low and high pressure weather patterns. I didn't have to make any changes during the install very straight forward.

Hi. I am currently using 2 x WAV.. both on the left side of the tank.. now i am considering to add a third WAV or GYRE on the right side. Which one do you think is more appropriate since u have used both. ?

Is that in saltwater? Skimmers won't work in fresh water.

I sent it in and they returned it about 3 days later. It still made a very slight noise but you have to have your ear pretty close to hear it. My other one is dead silent.

yep still using it. actually changing up the system... moving my LPS to a different tank and this one will focus on SPS. Excited to see how they respond to this light

I love it. Everything in the tank is responding extremely well to it. BRS actually has them 25% off right now! The software isn't the best but it does what it needs to do. Everyone with the Aurora has had to use the software for the Futura model. They just released an android version for the Aurora but it has a couple of clitches so I'm sticking with the Futura software until they release the windows version.

Nice Set up! Would love to see some more footage of this tank, since i wanted to start with the same lights. Do you like those lights?! Do you got any Par messuring done? Keep up the good work. ( But what happend to that Trachy colonie!?)

+Ngh Lp Thanks. I'm dealing with some algae right now. I'm planning to take some pics this coming week when I get the acrylic lid I ordered. The lights are great and fairly easy to program. Everything in the tank seem to like them. I actually ordered a Seneye meter yesterday...that'll arrive probably Tuesday. As soon as I'm able to get some readings I'll post them.

+James Sparkman Ty for the fast reply. Great ! I plan combining the Primes with two one bulb t5 fixtures over an apex controller. I plan heaving a more light reefscape for growing big sps colonies. So it's very intreasting to see your tank maturing. ( You'll upload the pics on R2R right!?)
