Always loved this album as a kid and now can play a few tunes from it. Especially love Goldfish which always gave me tingles.

I once watched Roy spend nearly 10 minutes pretending to tune his guitar while obviously trying to get to grips with the effects of the spliff he'd just smoked, he kept trying to reassure us in the audience that he was fine and would be good to continue if we allowed him a little patience before he walked off claiming to need a wee and never came back. What a legend.

This is one guy I really need to explore as part of my bucket list. 66 & only getting into him now. He reminds me of Rodriguez quite a bit actually.

Roy's first album at Abbey Road, sounds so much better than Folkjokeopus or Come Out Fighting Ghengis Smith.

Hats off to Roy Harper lmao Now I've no idea where that phrase originated from but I associate it with number 3...for a strange reason, maybe because Jimmy Page played some tunes with Roy Harper around 1984.

Saw Roy quite a bit in the 60s and early 70s. He would piss off a good chunk of the audience early on and the rest of us who stayed would have a fantastic time. I gather that he mellowed a bit with age. I recall a Karl Dallas (an avowed fan) reporting on a concert at the Albert Hall is which he was relieved that Roy got through it. I still cherish Folkjokeopus and this is great.
