The drummers chops are strong, but these songs don't need chops... These songs need vibe and it's being assaulted by all the uneccssary fills. I was a bad drummer for a long time and because I didn't have chops I could only play the parts to the best of my ability which became my signature on sessions. It's not a drum clinic, take care of the song and the song will take care of you (all) in a way that you don't have to take care of yourself. It's about the band. NOT THE DRUMS.

I don't mean to be critical but as a musician I am going to call out the truth. First of all, the recording is bad. If you want to present something, do it as professional as you can and it's not expensive to do. Secondly, the music is all over the place at times. The drummer playing is all over the place. It's always better to be in the pocket than it is to do a bunch of drum licks. Every musical instrument has it's place. It's not a drum solo. Use the KISS method is always best. Keep It Simple Stupid. It's best to keep things simple and tight than to have mush.
