Does anyone remember Cockney Wanker's version from Viz...?
@SouthernFryd7 ай бұрын
My Mom and her brothers/sisters/cousins used to sing this every time they got together. They all had one thing in common, they grew up in the bomb shelters of London during WWII and the blitzkrieg. They had a piano down there and they used to sing in those shelters. My mom learned to count, counting bombers. She said everyone was supposed to count the planes. I never asked for sure, but I always assumed this was one of the songs they sang while down there since they always sang it at get togethers. The kids were eventually evacuated to Luton. My Mom said that her mother saw them off at the train station in London...and then met them when they got off the train in Luton. She was never sure how she did that.... RIP Mom, Shirley, Uncle Jack, Johnny, Renee, Gracie, Flo...and the rest. Ya'll were truly something special.

Strange how the younger generation prefer the sound of the same words and something like an explosion in a kitchen to good old English beat

This is an old working class cockney music hall song. Cara Delevigne is about as culturally attached to this form of music as Kim Jong-Un.
