Maggie you are doing a wonderful job. I have been visiting senior friends, neighbours and family in Tasmanian aged care homes and feeling fairly outraged in some cases.

Today is 30 years to the day since I saw them live at a festival in Denmark. To this day the best concert sound I have ever heard. Loud, but not too loud. Every single instrument was crisp and defined and the sound engineer was panning the sound so that when Peter Garret moved on stage you could close your eyes and still know where he was. Same with Jim Moginie. Absolute perfection. Add to that a cool summer evening, good company and cold beer. Fantastic evening.

I always thought that someone like Garret was actually going to change things when he got to Canberra. Alas absolutely nothing changed and he was obviously taken into a room and told, forget all that hippy crap, you're in Canberra now and you'll do as you're told OK son?

In Sweden 98% of prisoners are white. I think it’s crqzy that Northern Territory has a higher aboriginal population and therefore higher prison pop and that is a misleading stat Also a higher population doesn’t illustrate any cause….

When talking statistics, 98% of incarceration is Indigenous, the population of the entire state is 30.8% indigenous, and they are 7.8% of the national indigenous population. Berrimah is known as not the kind of prison anyone would want to be incarcerated in. I welcome anyone to correct me on this.. but if I recall correctly many of the problems occurred for the Indigenous when they outlawed tribal law up there. I realise .. I'm understating the complexity of the problems for the aboriginal people and the young ones. It's hard not to.

There are three types of persons involved in UFO sightings 1. People who have never seen one. 2. people that have seen a coloured light 3. people who have actually seen a flying saucer...or UFO. There are people like the students from Ariel school who got the lucky dip...they saw the occupants as well!
