Okay now, ik this seems whack right off the bat, but having the ability to preserve your own food??? Any little bit of self sufficiency you can score, the better off you'll be in the long run! Even just saving some money.

Well got one for Xmas trying to seal up dried beans, peas, etc.. it's hit and miss mostly miss. This doesn't seem to want to seal hardly at all. It was a gift think will get returned for another one, possibly it's defective.

You got a freezer-cardio workout for sure! I love January because I get to see inside over everyone's freezers - so fun to see what all people stockpile, and whether they have a lot of processed or homemade stuff in there. This is my third year doing the pantry challenge, and I love the sense of community it brings here on YT!

You are so inspiring and I love your videos. I canned 9 pints of chicken stock today. All onion, celery and carrot pieces from the freezer and chicken carcasses and a turkey carcass from the freezer. The stock is so rich and my kitchen smells delicious!

I have chicken that has been vacuumed packed in the freezer that is a year old. I was wondering if it is still good. It has been in an upright freezer. I think it would be good if you have meat that is three years old in the freezer that is still good.
@AnnsSouthernhome2 күн бұрын
@@DanaS9807 if you have something vacuum sealed in the freezer, it will usually last forever they say that it won’t go bad. The quality will deteriorate. I made a whole chicken that we had in the freezer from three years ago and it tasted great. For this week, I am cooking up some of the beef that we had from a cow from three years ago.
