Split second views of layouts, filming just like the BBC. We are not interested in people eating, we would prefer to see the layouts and over priced models

I've been to a few of these both at Alexandra Palace and Doncaster racecourse. It's usually a good show. I don't think anything will ever reach the heights of Warley but its nice that the midlands gets a full size show of quality . We have York in the North , Glasgow in Scotland, and Ally Pallly in the south east. Sadly due to downsizing, I've recently given up model railways, so its a watching brief only from mow on for me.😢

My “layout” is 30 x 30 cm in 009, so railway modelling doesn’t have to stop when living in a small space. You might have to adjust your dreams. 😊

For me personally, Bournemouth was by far the best layout. A perfect combination of subtle weathering and ground scape colouring, just perfect. The slightly mat appearance of the whole model worked extremely well. Thanks very much for an excellent video of the entire show.

I agree the Bournemouth layout did stand out I had to wait to film it as was very busy all day long I wanted to capture better video of it but my battery was dying Thanks for watching 👌

I liked the show overall but I agree i think it could have been better with a couple more larger layouts as their was space, but was a very good first show worth the visit I thought

I don't think bachmann had a stall that i remember but all the others did, hornby appeared to be mainly promoting their new tt:120 class 37 and some new wagons to go with it, looked very nice

Superbly filmed - I was there Saturday. You've really caught the ambience of the whole show! And your videography is superb - I need a new camera! What do you use please?

@JohnPW22 thanks I'm glad you enjoyed the video, the show was great I use a phone to film, Samsung s21 ultra and I use dji software to edit I hope to upgrade my camera next Year to a Sony a7s3 which are great in low light such as exhibitions

That’s the second time in a week you’ve caught me on camera, after Scaleforum last weekend. I’ve not been to this exhibition before, even though it’s quite local so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely in the diary for next year.

@andygj66 it is a great little show Kempston, next ones for me are Milton Keynes GETS and Warley at Statfold both are on the same weekend, I'll try to do do both but cost and time are a factor with the bigger shows

I’m aiming for GETS and Warners at the NEC (Bournemouth West and Portchullin among others) but as you say, they’re an expensive day out. It makes you realise what good value the Kempston exhibition was.
