was there a rule or an old rule that in some hazards you could actually go to the other side of the hazard (like a ditch or gully) and drop on that side using lateral no closer to the hole? was this rule amended or no longer accepted?
@girlfriendsgolf2 ай бұрын
Good memory there! Yes, that was the equidistant option for a red penalty area but it was removed from the rules in 2019.

Yes and that was with his little spoon, probably five wood, he had a brassie which was his strong wood I believe and a big spoon which probably was three wood, I believe the brassie was a two wood equivalent.

I don't think this methodology is sound advice. Stretching to warm up is a bit of a misnomer. You should warm your body up before doing any stretching. Gentle running on the spot or 10 to 15 mins on a static bike. Stretching 'cold' muscles and ligaments is a recipe for strains and sprains and should be avoided.
@bradmorgan56154 ай бұрын
that's probably more true for amateurs who do little to no exercise, i would bet that a professional such as her does warm her body, and tremendously so compared to all of us. and i would bet she would be the first to agree, those exercises look great to accomplish what she states as well as more. I am glad she showed this and thanks for your comment as well. sincerely Dr. B

My son and I played it last summer. We played 18 holes, and it was a lot of fun. However, it's a tough course, and if you play it bring a lot of golf balls. We lost a lot of them in the rough!
@GolfDestination4 ай бұрын
It is tough, but fun to play. Glad you had fun and sorry about the last balls!
@johngullotta39874 ай бұрын
First! This is a deceptive course. Postage stamp greens, brutal fescue, great hills, wind that will kill your ball flight. Good luck.

Sounds like someone who has played it. Ha, ha. Hope you hit the Beachcomber on the way home to take the edge off after playing. Thank you for commenting.

Mac Dunes a most enjoyble natural experience indeed, but the front nine on the old Machrihanish GC is just sublime. The back nine needs a tweak as it peters out towards the end (maybe danger to the public road traffic?).... perhaps an extra bridging hole so you can combine a couple of the fiinishing 3 to make two?

As long as this is done on the downswing. If I do too much dipping during the backswing, it throws my contact way off.
@ianbaldwingolf5 ай бұрын
I dont think its a dip, even though she is exaggerating it as a dip but its all about the glutes. Pushing and pulling with the butt
