Just so as you know, the primer is actually part of a welding the pipe together. At the coupling area. If you read carefully on there it says to let it dry completely. And apply primer to the other side and let it dry completely. Then you're supposed to do 1/4 of a turn only, and that actually breaks the skin on both sides of the pipe. And creates a weld. And you're exactly right, that pipe failed number one because they didn't seat it all the way. And number two, tThey probably did not turn it one quarter, if a PVC pipe is put together properly, the pipe would actually break before the joint would.

I like the simple braid and some electrical tape; I like the silicone idea, but what I would do is use a short pvc pipe and fill it with silicone, wires within of course.

With (extendable slip fix) you need to make sure you don't install on a main line next to a valve that turns on and off or you will have a slamming effect... It is possible to use it on a lateral downstream from the main line next to a valve but you would need it fully extended so it would not create a slamming effect... The other option is a regular slip coupler with no rim in the middle to slide back over the opposite pipe .

Fixing a well wire with a plastic bag to make it waterproof is multitasking at its finest! Not only are you solving your wiring problem, but you’re also giving that plastic bag a new purpose. Since it takes up to 1,000 years to decompose in a landfill, it should keep your well wire waterproof for quite some time. It’s a revolutionary move in saving both your wiring and the planet-talk about making a difference one plastic bag at a time! That was very liberal of you!

Thank you so much. It worked like a charm. But, in my case. The blue wire from the Fan controls the lights so it goes to the black wire coming out the wall. The black wire from the fan controls the fan speed and goes to the Red wire in the house. The Red wire is a 3 speed dimmer type switch that allows use to change the speed of the fan.

The hose connected to our refrigerator ice machine leaked. Water got under the laminate tiles and leaked right through the plywood joints through the sub-floor into the basement. When you walk on the floor, water comes up between the laminate joints. Stopped the leak, but wondering if I should remove all the clickable laminate, let the floor dry and install new.
