Good to see you back my friend! Very interesting history on this coal carrier. The mix of static black and white pictures with the drone shots works very well and gives a nice narrative sense of story telling.

Greetings from Bolga 4K in Norway. 🇳🇴 I’m really enjoying your ship chases. It’s really cool the way you position your drone directly in front of the ships and then wait for them to approach you. Great proximity footage. I’m curious to know whether you ever experience any signal interference based on being so close to the surface of the water and having these massive ships in between you and your remote controller? What about seagulls and other sea birds? Sorry about the barrage of questions, but I’m actually here to get some ideas for my own ship chasing videos. I’ve tended to remain at a higher elevation in hopes of avoiding the birdies. 😊 So far, so good.

Extraordinarily beautiful video of these iconic vessels. I've lost count of how many times I've travelled on these ferries, and stepping aboard was always accompanied with a sense of awe and excitement, that this was something uniquely "Sydney" and very special. Now being replaced by the smaller Emerald class ferries, I wonder how these new vessels will cope with the massive ocean swells on the Manly crossing. Lots of cancelled services, I would imagine. Are they as capable as the larger ferries in these conditions? I guess time will tell. The Freshwater ferries embody the spirit of Sydney and are recognised national symbols, and as much as I like the new Emerald class ferries and enjoy scooting around the harbour on various jaunts, they will never have the same magic. As the Freshwater ferries disappear from service, Sydney will lose part of its soul.

Many thanks for this and well done for the lovely video! i worked on the MV Freshwater to install and commission the monitoring systems for the machinery spaces, e.g. engine room. I still remember being onboard when she launched. And when we sailed her down the coast from the State Dockyard at Newcastle and sailed in through The Heads to an amazing welcome on a beautiful day.
