As a henna artist with strong cultural ties to henna (like millions of people in the world), I’m disappointed by the cultural appropriation so blatantly shown here. It’s fine to appreciate the sacred practice of henna but to take ownership of its practice and speak from a pedantic standpoint is disheartening to me.

What happens when you freeze the cones twice? I have bought some hena to take aboad and have to freeze it till the trip and then freeze again there!! Or should I just keep them out of the fridge and freeze once I arive ? IM GOING IN ONE AND A HALF MONTHS !
@ak5033 жыл бұрын
Can I still be able to make good designs if I freeze it twice?
@HennaByHeather3 жыл бұрын
It will still stain, the texture just gets annoying to work with. It gets separated and watery, mostly. So you could fix that to a degree by bringing it in a larger and mixing it up carefully before putting it into cones. Here are my overly thought-out thoughts on traveling with henna in general: artisticadornment.com/henna_tattoo_design_how_to_blog/bringing-henna-with-you-on-a-plane-air-travel-tips-for-henna-artists/

Is it at 70 degrees F? You may need to wait up to 24 hours. Can you share a photo of your 5 minute palm test by email, please?
@HennaByHeather3 жыл бұрын
And longer than 24 hours if it is less than 70F where you have the henna sitting.

What temperature should the freezer or fridge be at?
@HennaByHeather3 жыл бұрын
Just whatever temperature you normally keep them at... Erring on the side of being too cold would be helpful.

Im doing henna freckles and i swatched it on my hand i had to mix black and red brown so its darker for my skin color Advice i heard for this Shave the hair on your face Put it on for 9+ hours And dont wash your face after removing the henna Imma try the reactivating it with steaming
@HennaByHeather2 жыл бұрын
Oh no, I am so sorry I missed this. Natural henna, like what we sell at ArtisticAdornment.com, doesn't come in colors (ie black vs red brown)... but it will show up well on any skin tone, as it is of excellent quality. Anything that is sold in different colors is *not* pure, natural henna - please be careful. I hope you found success. Please feel free to contact me directly via ArtisticAdornment.com with questions. As you can see, KZbin comments don't get checked much...

Do you steam with the sealant on or before?
@HennaByHeather4 жыл бұрын
Before, mostly. A bit of steaming after a light spray with sealant can be okay, but you just need to make sure you don't put so much on that it drips...

Here's a video to show an example of the consistency for a cone... for a bottle, you should make it a bit thinner. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXPTc6OjiZuHosk
They gave me tape after it dried 😔 they really should do something else
@HennaByHeather4 жыл бұрын
Aw, sorry to hear it. I don't love tape, as it kinda hurts to take off, and if you sweat the design gets all blurry.......but plenty of artists swear by it...
Very nice plz tell me how we get this mehendi applier I want it

This video is soo soo old but I was thinking a Miracle might happen And you respond. I got A henna kit and it came with four cones made and premade Henna in it. I just used a little bit out of one cone. And now I have no idea what to do with it since the tip is open. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME
@HennaByHeather4 жыл бұрын
Aw, I'm so sorry you didn't hunt me down more directly for an answer and I'm just seeing this here. Once the tip is open, you can put a large round headed pin into the opened tip if you'd like. However usually I just leave mine open, as my henna is thick enough to not come out on its own as long as I'm not squeezing it. Please always feel free to reach out to me directly at ArtisticAdornment.com with any henna questions in the future. KZbin video comments get answered like once a year, as you can see...as there are just too many things to keep on top of. I am back into making new videos, though, as you will see on my channel! kzbin.info
