The king of the Hill episode where Bobby hits Willie with a golf club making me realize I've never actually explored Willie's music brought me here. As someone who recently came into liking country thanks to Dave Stamey and Shania Twain, this was a fantastic next step.

For my mother. I miss her dearly. She’s in my dreams vividly. She imparted to me loyalty, integrity, kindness and loved me and encouraged me to be authentic.

There is nothing finer than this and whatever chordal insanity happens to resolve the guitar solo. I’m completely floored by.

My mom passed just before Christmas 2018. She was only 56. She always requested that we play this at her funeral. We did. Here thinking of you.

There are country singers and pickers and then there is Willie. He is brilliant and unique and I love his music.

I've always wondered if this song inspired the "Like tears in rain" line from Bladerunner.

This ain't Bach. It was written by Christian Petzold. Don't blame Willie. This tune in G Major and one like it in G minor, were found in a notebook made by Bach and gifted to his second wife. Scholars just assumed it was Bach because of all his works he had there recorded. The truth was not realized until sometime in the 1970s, possibly after Willie made the album. The truth was certainly not known when the song "A Lover's Concerto" was on the charts.

My grandpa has always had a juke box that he’d play for us grandkids growing up. I don’t remember this song being on any of the records but he is dying now and this song gives me a strange comfort. I love you papaw, be at peace ❤
