Classic guitar tune 😎 And great breakdown here👍 You explain what’s going on really well😀
@Yourguitarworkshop10 сағат бұрын
Yes it is an awesome tune, the video was part of a live stream where I attempted to breakdown 5 iconic CCR riffs. I cut out all the chit chat to have a more focused video. There's more coming :-)

Good question Pete, I go straight into my boss gigcaster which uses the effects from the boss gt100 I think. In there I selected the following things in the effects chain Noise suppression (moderate settings) Overdrive type: X-OD drive 16/100 tone -20 level: 70/100 AMP: Tweed Combo EQ Low Gain +4db high gain: +1db REVERB: Hall 2 time: 3sec tone: -18 effect level: 50/100 density: 7 predelay: 0 direct level: 100 Hope this helps

@ it does. I had a blues driver but I’ll use the overdrive. I liked your crunch
@Yourguitarworkshop7 күн бұрын
@@petestern3639 I probably should spend some more time on it. Also, I didn't use my strat here which would have made a big difference in sound as well. It is a fine line to find the right amount of OD , it is easy to overdo it at the same time when you don't have enough the solo is harder to play.

Can you do the solo with a transposition that no longer leaves you in the C scale for the Girly pops that will transpose it. 😮
@Yourguitarworkshop7 күн бұрын
The tricky bit would be the open string part. It all depends on how much it needs to change, if it goes up a whole or 1.5 step, I would just use a capo and play the solo accordingly. Not sure what I'd do in other cases.

So this is reverse psychology 101, you have to convince yourself that when you need to pull it off, you don't need to, so you do pull it off.

I'm doing great these days. My family had a tough period but we've bounced back 🙂 I am into a lot of different styles of music so if it is played well and with passion I'm usually into it. Stevie never crossed my path really but a 10 year old student of mine wanted to play his music so for him I'm transcribing these things and learning them

no, the string shortly bounces against it but you don't keep the thumb onto the string

Is there anyway to play this using just picks
@Yourguitarworkshop7 күн бұрын
I think it will need hybrid picking at least. Of course you can come fairly close with a pick only but if all the notes have to be there you'll need some fingers.
