Pure white trash.. the pointed bottom of the spoon hurts when you hold it to eat. The shape does not auger well with your mouth as the spoon endings are weird.

lets just ignore the fact thats its 100$ for one spoon in japan because they are made "in japan" exclusively so they can sell them to americans for 25$ per spoon + shipping and tax. lol

Now you won't have to look for your measuring spoons because you'll be looking for your special, expensive super-spoon in a drawer filled with spoons whenever you need a table-spoon of anything.. I guess what's coming next is the super-teaspoon?

As a mechanical engineer I can tell you, manufacturing these would be super easy, as you could just stamp them out of some thick sheet metal, burnish them up, and you're basically good to go... *if* American companies had retained literally any of their manufacturing capability _at all_ in the last 30 years. These go something for like 25 bucks a piece "because Japan" when an automated process, with a well marketed product, and ecocnomy of scale could drag these down to $25 for an entire set with the actual unit price being something like 20 cents, probably less.

I get where you're going with this, but your numbers are way off. 40 grams of 18/10 stainless steel in bulk (buying multiple tons at a time) costs around $0.13 right off the bat. The cost of cutting, stamping, finishing, packaging, storing, shipping probably takes those costs to $2-3. But for a spoon merchant, the real cost is marketing. How do you differentiate yourself from the thousands of other spoons out there? When you start to add all these pieces together and assume the merchant earns a profit margin of their own, $25 is pretty reasonable for a selling price. Not saying it's impossible to sell these spoons for less, just that the costs are much higher than you assume they are.

The best yet made in Japan yeah. Don't get me started on why the location of where certain products are made matters. Even if the spoon is a good idea it's probably not very good quality and it's probably only expensive for its shape even though mass produced because stainless steel is very cheap
