I found this book in a grocery cart.. I picked it up. Health and Healing… ECK Wisdom.. I’ve never heard of this.. I’m very skeptical of anything outside of the Holy Bible and teachings of Jesus Christ. I’m going to do some research…

I thought that I heard of this before, yeah, I guess about 50 years ago now, when Paul Twitchell was still alive, or not yet very cold in his grave, and his office Clerk, Darwin Gross, took over the operation, saying he was now the new King of the Universe, and I had signed up for membership in Eckankar. It cost me about $150 for some correspondence course, but, really, it wasn't like there would be tests that would be graded, and nobody at the time was taking Darwin Gross seriously, but, well, it seems that once the Universe saw me reach out for some kind of a connection into Spirit, in the next few days I found a Kundalini Guru from Madras India and I started doing that. But, since I suppose I'm still a Member of Eckankar, I'lll try doing that HU Mantra in a dream.... its in dreams that you find out exactly what the different mantras are good for, and since this HU Mantra has Sufi origins, I'll be expecting a lot from it. For Sufis, "Hu" is considered a sacred sound or name of God that holds deep spiritual significance. It is often used in Sufi practices as a meditative chant or invocation to connect with the divine presence within and around them. The sound "Hu" represents the essence of God, encompassing qualities such as unity, oneness, and divine presence. When chanted or meditated upon, "Hu" is believed to facilitate spiritual awakening, inner transformation, and a deepening of one's connection to the divine. It is seen as a universal sound that transcends religious boundaries and speaks to the heart of mystical experience in various spiritual traditions. It works more powerfully when you sing or chant it yourself! Center in your heart when you chant it.

The HU is ever new to me & never gets old because it is a timeless sound without limits. It is the Divine creative voice of God. In the early 70's a stranger gave me a book about Eckankar called the Far Country by Paul Twitchell. One of the greatest things he shared in it was why & how to chant or sing Huuuuuu while gently focusing on your third eye between the physical eyes but slightly higher. And so began my journey into the higher worlds. Not all at once but what happened eventually was beyond all my knowing. I heard sounds ~ an all encompassing sound that was all sounds in perfect harmony so beautiful, like cosmic rain enveloping me, shocking me to the core of my being. I emerged a new being, shaking all over & drenched in tears. The HU is very powerful because it can take you back to God, to your God self, in exactly the way that is right for you.
