It seriously took Bill Murray just one second to school everyone in that room how to do comedy the right way.

The only thing wrong that movie VMI never carried the traditional confederate flag into battle.

the test should be that if your mom can physically remove you against your wishes, you're likely not quite ready to go! Though moms can be awful determined when it comes to their little boys.

did they remove this from the actual episode as it exists now?? i can't find it on the 40th episode on peacock, that would be insane to cut the best bit due to them showing some jaws movie clips

All wars are old men sending young men to die, in many cases over meaningless geography or some low level leader that has no baring on the war itself. Fighting for your homeland on the other hand, is something else entirely.

There are no winners in a civil war - Wellington put it succinctly in this partial quote after Waterloo. "nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won" Incidentally, stuntman Fred Kennedy was tragically killed in the making of a late scene from this excellent film.

Gosh. Brings a little water to the eyes... But... The Quiet Man was a semi comedy and not exactly a love story. Not even stage Oirish in the sense that ... What is the thing about the stick for beating the wife!!!! The scene of Wayne dragging M O H by the hair to give her back to her brother. The brawls.??? Maureen,. We adored her... Dublin girl, absolute beauty, made it good in Hollywood , portrayed as a skittish wild Irish woman, peeping out from behind gatepiers. Scenery was carefully used, and don't ever forget, as if it is possible the most beautiful melody Innishfree. Would love to have got to the cutting room with a scissors. It couldn't have been Ireland of 1930s/40s/50s if so ... Glad I wasn't there
