When my brother and I were young, my dad would play this song in the car and tell us a story about "The Monster and The Cowboy" who fought to the death. But after a long back and forth battle, the monster got the upper hand and devoured the cowboy. Its my earliest detailed memory.

I don't remember how I found this album (most likely while browsing at one of the five or six record stores that used to be in my city), but find it I did, and when I asked my mom to buy it for me for my upcoming birthday she flatly refused. I secretly asked my grandfather, who DID buy it for me. He didn't know who Venom were and didn't care. To him music was like literature; tastes varied among us. Anyway, I was blown away by this record, and spun it loudly whenever my parents were out of the house (quietly when they were home). The title track was on one side of the vinyl, and the other tracks were on the flip side. This epic 20 minute track became one of my favorite metal songs at the time, and even tho my original copy of the LP has long since vanished, I STILL listen to this now nostalgic piece of music 40 years later! In '84, my so-called metalhead buddies thought Metallica (who were still new at the time, having only "Kill 'em All" and "Ride the Lightning" so far) was TOO heavy, and they never wanted to hear Venom at all. Their loss. I'm 57 now, and listening to this on a rainy Sunday morning has me feeling 18 again. 😊

_// Thanks for sharing the video! Let me tell you something important: God loves you! God loves us ! He is no respecter of persons! because God wants us all to be saved! and let's go to the knowledge of the “Truth” God wants to save us from eternal damnation, which we all deserve because of sin, who entered the world through Adam, and death entered through sin, and thus death passed to all human beings, Therefore, we are all “Sinners” But God's Love was so great for us, that he sent his only Son (Jesus Christ), gave him to this world, to die and rise for all of us! No Respect of Persons! so that everyone who believes in Jesus Christ does not go to eternal punishment, but rather has “Eternal Life!” “ Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures; and he was buried, and rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures Jesus Christ came to call sinners to “Repentance! “ and, he who believes in Him, has “Eternal Life! “But whoever refuses to believe in Jesus Christ, the wrath of God remains on him. Then, as through Adam's transgression, condemnation came to all human beings, in the same way, through the justice of Jesus Christ, justification of life came to all human beings! All of us who believe in The Only Savior of the world! The Only Mediator between God and us! The Lord Jesus Christ! The son of God! All of us who trust in Him; we have “Eternal Life! “ And we must know that there is salvation in no one else; because there is no other name under heaven, given to human beings, in which we can be saved. Only by Believing/Trusting in “Jesus Christ” can we be Saved! But Jesus Christ also said: Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Therefore, we must be doers of the Word of God! and not only listeners and/or readers, deceiving ourselves. So let's read the Word of God! There is His Will! what God wants us to do! Let us read mainly the Gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and let us pray to God, our Heavenly Father, all the days of the life that He gave us! God loves you! God loves us! To Him alone be the Glory Forever! Amen! Bible Source: Acts 10:34-35 / 1 Timothy 2:3-6 / Romans 5:12 / John 3:16 / 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 / Luke 5:32 / John 3:36 / Romans 5:18 / John 6:47 / Acts 4:12 / Matthew 7:21 / James 1:22 /,

Excellent guitarist! Saw him live with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani a while ago. This is my favorite guitarist of all time. He doesn't get enough credit, at least in the USA. If he can play so fast while throwing guitar picks to the audience, he's definitely number one on my list! Love you Yingwie!!!

Even 40 years later, Yngwie hasn't outdone his own masterpiece. Today's shred scene owes a lot to him. He might be a jerk, but no one can deny his genius and impact

He's toned down with the ego as most men do as we age. He gets along with many whom years ago had reservations about him. He had a lot to prove coming to the U.S. and Mike Varney gave him that chance and he succeeded in showing everyone that Mozart had indeed been reincarnated and back with a vengeance on guitar .

Yngwie's music gave me company during the most depressive part of my life which lasted about 3 years. After high school, no money for university, working, no girlfriend 'cause "I would move on soon" (after I gathered some money to start college). A lot of friends already making the lives of their dreams either married or studying and I was only "caught in the middle". This music is a part of what I am. Sometimes I feel lost and I have changed a lot, but I recall to my roots and this music is a somehow a home to me.
