Unfortunately mental health is not very accessible for "average people". And if more peolle got therapy early they might not fall into as mamy mental health issues
@TheRyanMillerShow13Ай бұрын
That's one of the big arguments for viewing/utilizing psychotherapy as preventative medicine/care and getting insurance on board with starting early and allowing check ins.

Social interaction and religion are useless. Mind your own business avoid others and you will be fine.
@annmariebarratt4213Ай бұрын
Some people ‘need’ social interaction. It’s not for everyone!!! And thankfully you know what you kneed, what is best for you! And if that is no social interaction, no religion, that’s great!!!! At least you know what you do and don’t want! That’s a lot more than most people know what they want. So good for you!! You have my total respect💜💕💜
@TheRyanMillerShow13Ай бұрын
To be clear, spirituality is the important part, not necessarily religion. Research and history would show that social interaction and spirituality are necessary for society. That being said, not everyone needs the same amount of socializing or spirituality. Some people thrive with very minimal social interactions, while others need more. Some people are devoutly religious, and others find their spirituality in nature. Like @annmariebarrat4213 pointed out, it is good to find what you need and to role with that. Thanks!

Interesting to think about what happiness would be with when you start thinking of taking away the things you stacked up as your happiness
@TheRyanMillerShow13Ай бұрын
I think its good to consider it. There's also nothing wrong with finding joy and happiness in things that can be taken away. It's more about making sure we have meaningful things to ground our joy as well.

Great point. I suppose this is why religious people tend to have better mental health. I wonder how specific the "intangible" thing needs to be in order to properly serve as a source of meaning, or perhaps whether its better for it to be more vague.
@TheRyanMillerShow13Ай бұрын
I would say that the deeper the meaningful thing is, and the clearer it is defined, the better. Clearly defined doesn't have to mean hyper-specific though. For example, if I deeply value truth and want to live a life of honesty in all situations, even when that honesty makes my life harder or prevents me from getting something, then it is defined enough. Thank you for the comment/thought!

@@TheRyanMillerShow13 if life had no meaning, wld that make it any less precious?
@TheRyanMillerShow13Ай бұрын
@@theparodychannel7842 It might, yes. IT is surely worth exploring. I think this is a wonderful question and requires more attention than my comment can allow. I think my starting question is: Does anything precious become more so when it is also meaningful? Would we rather our precious things be meaningful or would rather them not? Thanks for offering your thought!
