@anythinggarage from another video I've seen there is a gasket it's a combination of metal and rubber I believe a donut gasket. I did see another kp mini 150 exhaust install and there was a gasket in there. And a round area in the engine for the gasket to sit in

Do you hook up the throttle handle first?and what makes it do the snap back,at what step?
@anythinggarage
@anythinggarage 11 күн бұрын
@anglegrinder4630 the throttle cable is what's pulling the slide up. The spring is what's bringing the slide back down. If you let go of the twist throttle fast, it makes a snap cause basically the metal slide is "sliding" down fast. Makes sense?

It is smart to do a proper ecu flash after any air filter or exhaust mod , yes I would say , so you don't get your air to fuel mapping out of wack.

@@mikeanthony8934 you might have a cable that's too long? You may need to see if you have to raise the throttle enough to get the slide to suck in more air. Other than that, Idk what to tell you. Could be an idle adjustment? Wish I was there

I noticed you have the bike on a rear stand which makes it upright and your oil sight glass is reading over full. Could just be because it has a lot of forward lean, but maybe check that out

That's correct. Oil should always be checked sitting on both tires and alligned straight (someone holding it for you or you trying your best on your own). Don't go by it on the kickstand or swingarm stand

By all means get yourself at least a decent pair of riding gloves that have a hard palm slider as your hands are what your going to use to try and slow yourself down with in case of a crash/Lowside ! Chain and plug are ok, however look how far your wheel went back on the swingarm. When I exchange external drive gears this way, I always keep the original chain length and specifications by using a -1 front and +1 rear or a +1 front and -1 in back. This way you just put the chain back on and it fits back to the original location, not shorter or longer...
@anythinggarage
@anythinggarage Ай бұрын
The reason it is far back is because I'm using a 108 link chain instead of the stock 106 link number. You can usually only use stock link number or only 2 more up. I still have good adjustability left. Only got the 108 because I went with a bigger front sprocket. 106 should be fine. Either way, make sure everything sits good whatever way you do it

I'm looking to buy the same bike and know the rpm will be higher than what I like. I don't race around or carry passengers and live in Florida where there are no hills or mountains. I also like getting better mileage and a less jerky ride, so I go +1 front and -1 rear. I had the original formula on how to crudely calculate how the rpm would change, relatively simple, I forgot the formula! Does the bike feel ok? I'm always worried about Chinese motorcycles, however Lifan has been used in actual Honda bikes all over the world...
@anythinggarage
@anythinggarage Ай бұрын
@umaxen0048 it's a really good bike. Feels of good quality. Nothing like the grom clone vaders or the likes. It gets up and goes, even with a passenger I ride fine, for what it is. With this front sprocket, I feel like it is at a good spot. I can't redline it in 5th but still managed a 68mph top speed with a KO Lightning exhaust at full squat 🤷🏻‍♂️
