Such a cute craft! I'm going to try cutting down a toothpick and gluing it behind the pink part to hopefully give the ears more stability.

What I did, but glued to back white, left dry couple hours then pushed toothpick into dice. So far so good.

Use a wooden skewer to hold the dice then after painting put in a cylinder to dry.

You just add very little vegetable glycerin. That's what I've learned so far. If you add too much, they'll dry but won't feel dry to the touch

I hope you continue to grow your channel! I learned so much from you and some others... I've ordered vegetable glycerin to add to my mixture and it'll be here tomorrow!

Has anyone used anything other than the Sola Softener? Sola sent me an incomplete order and they won’t correct the order or accept returns. So to salvage the order, what can I swap out for the sola brand softener? Thanks for any suggestions!

Will the paint rub off on your hands after it dries or if you have a wet hand and accidentally touch the flowers? I'd be worried it would ruin my dress if so.
@chelseatrader7659 Жыл бұрын
The easier way to mix acrylic and water is to start with the paint and thin it out with little bits of water at a time. Once it’s runny enough to “pour”, you can dump the rest of the water in and it’ll dilute instantly

Have you tried alcohol ink or mica pigment powders? Now I have to buy the flowers so I can try them…lol. Thank you so much for sharing!! Mica powder is highly pigmented and you need very little. Also, maybe if you leave them in longer, they will better take color. I think the dye they sell likely works best, but I’m going to experiment bc you inspired me!

How long roughly would you say to let them dry before spraying them with glycerin? I am making Bouttonieres and corsages from sola!
@theimpatientdiyer74452 жыл бұрын
Yay they are gonna turn out so cute!!!! I usually left them to dry overnight and then sprayed them with glycerin. I let them sit again overnight after that:)

So cute! At what point in the drying process do you spray with the vegetable glycerin? And would you say it's more like a thorough coating or light sprits?

I put a Shiah kabob stick in them then I could paint all four sides. I also used chalk paint for the first two layers and it crackled. My last coat was acrylic and worked great.

Which kind of paint do you use for this?
@theimpatientdiyer74452 жыл бұрын
I just use any acrylic paint I have on hand! Doesn't have to be expensive, but I don't recommend dollar tree ones if you want good coverage :)

Thanks for the short tutorial! What are the other color names from the thumbnail? You mention the deep burgundy with some black, but what are the yellow and the other pinks called? Or are both lighter pinks just lighter versions of the deep burgundy? Thanks!

What a great idea and so cute!!! To paint the dice I would insert a wooden skewer on the bottom so you can hold it. It will be easier to paint then place on a piece of styrofoam to dry. Just my thought. Thank you for the video🥰

I literally dropped everything when I saw the notification you had posted 😜 I know that it's not what you wanted, having to gut the place, but this is a good opportunity to not only learn skills you may not already know, and the option to get it just how you want it. I honestly can't wait till we make our last payment and can really get to working on rehabbing ours. Looking forward to seeing the progress, and feel free to message me over on IG anytime if you wanna chat :) 🤗❤️️🌻
