I love how no one mentions that you have to install crap 3rd party plugins. This feature is not built into ANSYS

How a video less than 1O mins illustrates the entire workflow clearly, is just amazing. This is resourceful and beats majority of contents on this KZbin platform, which end up confusing the viewer. Thanks alot, if I can reach out to you, I'll be so glad, I have a lot more simulations I'll love you to guide me on.

very nicely presented. please edit the description and add timestep like Geometry creating, Meshing, Time setting, solving etc so that we can skip or rewind accordingly.

20KN of pretension? Isn't that too excessive? This flange could support a weight of a truck it seems.

great tut, but somehow i believe it is inaccurate. there should be contact defined between bolt and the holes on the flange. and the nut should be defined as lock contact and not frictional. maybe then you will have different result, as right now its showing your bolt is weak. with the help of nut defined as "lock" similar to real world, it might prevent the flange from moving after external load is applied.

what i understand is water at 90 degree is flowing in the steel pipe. Heat energy will be transfered from the water to the steel and from steel to aluminiu through conduction. And the aliminium radiate heat to the sorrounding air through convection. How can the air expose the energy by forced concvection in the outer region where the fins are located? since this is the section of the steel pipe with aluminium finned outer cover, i think the energy transer is conduction between water and the two metal and convection bettween the finned aliminium surface and air?

I have been studying on bolt connections in Ansys nearly for 1 month. I have real world experiment results about maximum pretension force for a bolt. I modelled the bolt in Solidworks as exactly same and simulated in Ansys. Von Mises stress in Ansys gives me 3 times higher result with respect to real world experiment. Later i simulated the bolt in Ansys by using bolt thread option under connections. Ansys gave me nearly same result with respect to first simulation. Namely, i can not take result same with experiment. (There is no mesh or modeling problem). If one can compare any bolt connection experiment result with Ansys result, we can find the reason of wrong result. Thanks
