do they just randomly touch and go here? is there a schedule, if so do they fly on weekends?
@acefox16 ай бұрын
Most of the field carrier landing practice at OLF Coupeville is Monday-Friday. I never saw any weekend activity there. The base usually posts a community notice of when activity can be expected 1-2 weeks in advance. It isn’t guaranteed but it helps.

It sure is! Especially when the Skyraider taxis by you then turns and you get the propwash in your face. 😁 It’s the best.

Love it But what type of 747 300 100 or 200? its pretty clear its not 400
@acefox13 жыл бұрын
The Dreamlifter is a highly modified 747-400. It doesn’t look like a 400 because there are no winglets at the wingtips but during very early testing the winglets were still there. I think they were removed because there’s so much drag from the enlarged fuselage that there was no benefit to keeping the winglets.

Was Kelsey flying
@acefox13 жыл бұрын
Good question. It’s possible. @74gear Kelsey would probably have to check his logbook to see if he was at Paine Field in a Dreamlifter that day.

That is by far the most heat haze I've ever seen from engine exhaust, it's so intense that you can't see anything behind it. It's almost as if it's opaque or at least highly translucent.
