Stash look very nice

Very nice stash! I think I've fired most of the rockets you have in your stash, the Funke rockets are brilliant. The Klasek 30mm roman candles are brilliant too with huge loud bursts, I fired 3 of them together last year.

Plenty of goodies.

I was also there that night and what an epic night it was. I think Newby Hall 2024 can be even better! I’ve been trying to find Pyrotex’s winning display of the event but I can’t seem to find any videos of it. Their finale was CLASS!!

It was great wasn’t it, my children were asking to go home cos there feet where so cold, but they were blown away by the main display

The main display was brilliant with some very nice shells used. Couldn't feel my toes at the end as it was chilly that evening!

Nice to see some retail fireworks being used, a real testament to the quality of retail fireworks today.

Is this selection box worth for £45 ?

Amazing how would i go around getting a professional pyrotechnics licence.

I make fountain boards with mine, using thin wooden boards and I glue them on with cheap superglue, and they never fall over. I do the same for cakes barrages and fountain start mines too by supergluing them to thin wooden boards, again they never tip over. All this saves me burying them and reduces the work I have to do, just light the fuses with a chef's brulee gas torch held in an outstretched gloved hand at arm's length and step back, easy!

i think all selection boxes now are stupidly expensive for the quality. selection boxes are supposed to be budget options for people with little space or funding. but some of the prices about lately are ridiculous

I wonder if the fact that it costs so much for a consignment from China now they will reduce the packaging?

I am torn on tube v box , i can see merit in both , though if the boxes are just to make a box appear better value ,then that is wrong. Crackling for me is a disaster , especially in selection boxes that may be the first experience for young kids . There should not be any in selection boxes in my view . It is beyond me why we cant have fountains like the old traffic light, seemingly so simple an idea , but we always looked forward to it when i was a kid and we knew the names of the fireworks . Younger people will not know what it was like in the 70s, early eighties before the onslaught of chinese imports. I remember going in a corner shop , and they would sell fireworks like sweets , pick and mix , put them in a brown paper bag. They cost pennies, and were available in many shops , 1 time ,4 stalls in swansea market would be selling them, but there is a real chance now that at the least new regs will come in to restrict noise and size , preferable to a complete ban imo.

Way too much overpacking/overdressing with the fountains, would be much better instead of the having the fountain tube in a large box, to have the fountain tube on spike instead so that in can be easily inserted into the ground.
