How much you pay for ads on yelp now? Inflation is a B

So garage door opener came out of your pocket? Or customer paid for it and you charged $499 just for labor?

Good content gentlemen. Where do you buy your receipts? I've tried finding that kind on Amazon, couldn't see them there.

I got hired at a company and they trained me for 2.5 months then I was left on my own installing garage garage . Made an emotional decision and left the company to go work for Amazon. But I have an interview In a week for another company, I want to eventually be on my own fixing garage doors making money on the side

Guys take this advice if you want. Don’t make up prices in the customers driveway that have no basis in reality while they may or may not be on mute while you film it. You guys look like kids scamming people. A real business knows how much it cost to perform a service the time on job and any material it will be. I seen some other videos where they think spraying WD-40 on a door and changing a spring makes them a garage door repair man🤣

This generation is obsessed with getting on social media and throwing up $ signs in videos.. ruining one industry at a time with the lure of “easy big money”....sad part of when people never really had to work for anything in their lifes and walk right into something. So many industries have gone to sht because of this culture and very few people really do have the skillset let alone able to diffrentiate gross vs net profits
@mikepence7847 Жыл бұрын
If you are so good and learned from the best, maybe you should of offered springs because that guy insulated his own door without changing springs. Cables don’t just fall off… you didn’t do the customer any good. Probably should of offered him some rollers because the door ran like shit. Idk man. I can’t stand to see laziness in my industry like this. It’s ridiculous. And if you didn’t know that, maybe you should be in a truck on your own yet.

@BlueCollarVlogs Жыл бұрын
Hey, I had some family members in this business who I saw were making great money. I rode along with one of them for a little while but it was hard to really learn for me that way. I found the garage door training coarse and it really helped me build enough confidence to go out and start doing it on my own. There really isn’t a slow season for garage doors, they are always breaking and always in need of repair, year round which is pretty cool 👍 anyways hope this helps

How are you getting your clientele? Word of mouth? Or?
@BlueCollarVlogs Жыл бұрын
I use Yelp and the app called Nextdoor. Word of mouth is very effective as well though, a lot of times when you do a good job for someone, a neighbor or family member will get your contact info and end up calling you for a job as well. It’s pretty cool 😎
@PrimeTime2626 Жыл бұрын
Why do you only replace one spring when both springs have the same life cycle? Why not just replace them both right there and then?
@BlueCollarVlogs Жыл бұрын
That is true! I always share that info with the customer and recommend replacing both at the same time however it’s up to the customer, of course. So this job they chose to just replace the one, at that time.
