I think the "popo" are what we call "paw paws" here in the US. They're actually an American native tree and the fruit aren't that popular here either. So, I could be wrong.

Great video, I am teaching myself to cook Japanese food and love to watch home cooking vlogs for ideas. Plus your family's garden is amazing! I wonder if the "popo" trees are what we call pawpaws in the USA, they're not very well known here either unless you live in rural areas where they grow wild. Asimina Triloba is the scientific name, they're the only native tropical fruit in North America. Do they have big black seeds and taste like mango/banana? I love them, but they can be hard to find. I found a video of someone growing them in Japan. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iafboKSVbNSbarcsi=WREwP4qe7N0j_aMR

Awww🥰 Thanks for your very nice comment! Also your information is very helpful! They are exactly same with what you commented! Big seeds and mango taste, very sweet! They are not popular in Japan too. My parents planted them many years ago. Now it's hard to find their seedlings. Once again, thanks for your information 🙇♀️
