In Slovenia we also call it basket :) I like it, a naughty move from follower to make the dance more playful :D

Excellent performances, especially clarinet solo and Slam Stewart-style bass. Not familiar with this tune, may I ask who is the composer?

Just excellent. I look for "close quarters swing steps like this." Almost all YT swing dance videos assume you have the whole dance floor to yourself. If I have 2x2 meters that's a lot at most dance events. 👍

Really, really good. I like this softer, smoother version of Lindy Hop, tho you probably really unwind on the dancefloor. Very elegant.

Absolutely incredible. I was struggling with the weight shift and your suggestion to build up to the jump made it really easy!

Merci pour ces belles videos. Toujours tres satisfaisante, avec de precieuses information techniques. Seul bémol, j'aime les comptes, mais bon ça ne gache en rien la qualité des vidéos. Merci.

Your fingers will die!😒 Great vid, you two are very helpful. 4:15 is how I was taught - very rigid, squared up in front of the lead. The reason I am here, the way I was taught is not working at all for me...

Hi Elise and and Rija, nice videos i see from you! Can i ask what is the difference between leading the turn in step step into Jig Walks and into Drags? What should the leader lead and the follower feel in the two moves entrance?
@SwingBase9 ай бұрын
Haha there is no Rija and Elise here. Only Clement. Either you stay up and go into jig walk (kick alike) or you drag your partner to you and initiate a weight change 😂
@carlobruno95929 ай бұрын
@@SwingBase 😬🙏🤣 So, i think you mean leaning a bit backward to shift weight (as leader) to go into Drags. Ok, thank you. Sorry i see many videos from them here, i thought they were part of your team. 💃🕺

Can i ask you how the follower feel to go on step step in bring in after the "freeze" on send out and not use a triple step? How can i comunicate that as leader?
@SwingBase9 ай бұрын
It is about pace & rotation. A triple step would have a rather slower pace than a step step. Another way to explain is to give less time to travel and a step step is then more appropriate.
@carlobruno95929 ай бұрын
@@SwingBase thank you for the fast reply! I understand what you mean. And i can manage that. But, if you have time, i also know that is possible to make the follower rotate with a triple step giving more "oomph". So now i imagine that there are three types of input i can give as leader: 1) Lower energy she bring in triple step 2) More energy, so less time to travel as you said, she goes in step step. 3) More more oomph She would turn in triple step. I'm right?
@SwingBase9 ай бұрын
@@carlobruno9592 yes you can initiate a triple steps with being even faster than for step step. Basically the same energy than for triple turns ;)

This is a beautiful combination of moves that is well explained and demonstrated. And in addition to the barrel roll, there are also other options for bringing the follower back to the leader. I look forward to exploring those options! Merci!!

Great move, thank you! Can someone explain, right after the twist-steps, how should one lead the difference between doing triple step into close position vs. doing step-step into circle? How do I communicate to my follower which one is preffered?
@SwingBase10 ай бұрын
Basically about keeping a step step pace from the rotation and not releasing the energy, which lead you into a triple. Also the catching afterward helps prolongating the steps. Hope, it helps ;)
