Hello EACC? I hope you are fine. I kindly request is it a red flag to go on visa interview with a different confirmation number on visa appointment recept and ds-160
@eacc
@eacc Ай бұрын
Yes, having a different confirmation number on your visa appointment receipt and DS-160 form can indeed be seen as a red flag during the visa interview. You have two options to address this: Option 1: If you are carrying a new DS-160 confirmation, you will need to explain the reason for the discrepancy to the visa officer, but be aware that this could add complexity to your case. The DS-160 confirmation number is how the embassy tracks your application, so it is important for it to match the visa appointment confirmation number. Option 2: You can cancel your current appointment and book a fresh appointment using the new DS-160 number to ensure that all your details are properly aligned and avoid any issues. I recommend Option 2 as it ensures consistency and minimizes the risk of complications during your interview.

Sir my real sister have a green card but I applied for f1 visa and I didn’t mention in my ds160 that is no one in the USA so does the VO know this?
@eacc
@eacc Ай бұрын
You should disclose your sister's status in your DS-160, as the visa officer (VO) can easily verify this information if they choose to. It would not be difficult for them to find out. If you have already submitted your DS-160 and there is a question regarding family in the US, it’s crucial to be honest and explain that it was an oversight on your part. Emphasize that your intention in going to the US is solely for educational purposes, and provide clear reasons for your strong ties to your home country and your plans to return after completing your studies. Apologizing for the mistake and reaffirming your commitment to being transparent is important.

Hello Sir. I didn't apply for scholarships. How may I answer this if Visa officer ask me why didn't you apply for scholarships?
@eacc
@eacc Ай бұрын
Scholarships are often awarded based on merit, and while I considered applying, I have sufficient funds to cover the cost of my education without relying on external scholarships. My primary focus is on the program and university that best align with my academic and career goals. It's important to be well-prepared for any questions the visa officer may ask, including why you chose not to apply for scholarships. @eacc
@eacc Ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear about your visa denial. It's crucial to be well-prepared for your visa interview, especially regarding the program you plan to study in the USA and the course content. The visa officer (VO) may ask questions about your past academics and course content, so it's important to have a solid understanding. If you encounter a question you don't know the answer to, it's better to acknowledge that rather than struggling or leaving long pauses. How you present yourself and your responses plays a significant role in the success of your interview. It's not necessary to change your university, but if you do decide to, you'll need a strong reason for the change. Thank you. Best regards, Coach Richard Lasrado Education Abroad Counselling Centre (EACC)

I'm sorry for the delayed response. It's important to address your 8-year study gap clearly in your visa interview. I suggest focusing on what you have accomplished during these years, how your current work experience is relevant to your desired program, and why studying in the USA is crucial for your career at this point. Good morning! I understand how disheartening a visa rejection can be. Based on the situation you described, it appears that the rejection under Section 214(b) was likely due to concerns about your financial situation. This section implies that the visa officer was not convinced that you have strong ties to your home country or sufficient financial support to study in the U.S. Here's how you might address this in a new application or interview: 1. Add more Financial Saving or Take Education Loan 2. Explain Financial Plans clearly; you let the VO officer understand how you are going to manage the finances, from where the money will come etc. 3. Strengthen your ties to your Home Country by providing reasons like family obligations, property ownership, or a potential job offer upon return. This will ensure the visa officer knows you intend to return home after your studies. If you suspect that the choice of program or university might have been a concern, consider selecting a program that aligns even more closely with your academic background or career goals, which can help justify why you need to study in the U.S. It is important that you prepare for the interview well by having a clear idea of why you chose Fitchburg State University, how the program fits into your career plans, and how you plan to manage your finances during your studies. Last but most importantly, in case of doubt, consult with an Expert who can help you understand the thinking required in visa preparation and how to answer visa questions. If you could, booking another appointment and approaching it with a reinforced application and a clear understanding of the reasons behind the initial rejection will increase your chances of success. Good luck!

When explaining why you changed universities in a visa interview, it's crucial to construct your answer in a way that emphasizes your thoughtful decision-making and commitment to your educational and career goals. Factors that you can consider are: 1. More scholarships are offered by the New University. 2. Better Ranking, Program more aligned to your career objective, Location of the University, etc. 3. Correspondence that you have done with university officials, professors, students, etc. 4. Your own research on the new university and the program. 5. Lower costs, as the University is a Public University, etc., could be some of the reasons for you to change the university. Find reasons relevant to you. and answer accordingly.

Thanks for the video. I have a question regarding funds to show. Actually, my mom's friend lives in the US. She offered me to live with her if i would study in the US. Can she show funds? Also, the only funds I would show are my first semester tuition fees. Is it possible?
@eacc
@eacc 3 ай бұрын
When applying for a USA visa, two major reasons for denial are Potential Immigrants and Insufficiency of Funds. 1. Sponsorship by Mom's Friend: If your mom's friend in the US is offering to sponsor you, you must clearly explain why she is sponsoring you instead of your parents. You should be able to provide a detailed letter from her explaining your relationship, her willingness to support your education, and her financial capability. 2. Showing Sufficient Funds: Providing only one semester's tuition fees is insufficient. You need to show proof of funds covering at least one year of tuition and living expenses if not more. This includes having a clear plan for managing the remaining funds for your studies. Proper documentation and a clear explanation of your financial plan will help address these concerns and strengthen your visa application.

If your sister is on a cruise ship and not residing permanently in the U.S., she is not considered "living" in the U.S. in the context of this question. Therefore, you could answer "No" to the question about immediate relatives living in the U.S.

You need a better explanation, as many students achieved good results during COVID-19. Instead of blaming the pandemic, explain any personal challenges you faced, such as health issues or family problems, that impacted your studies. Alternatively, highlight specific steps you've taken to improve your academic performance since then. Finding a genuine and personal reason will be more convincing.

To improve your chances you can also increase your funds, strengthen your documentation, and prepare better answers for the visa interview. You need to explain this in your visa interview. There is no need to change your DS-160 form. When you mention "Self" as a Sponsor, be ready to answer on the source of funding and how you obtained these funds. Are you currently working? If so, what is your income and how long have you been employed? Providing clear and confident answers to these questions will increase your chances of securing the visa.

@eacc
@eacc 6 ай бұрын
Yes, you should mention your child daughter as an American citizen in your visa application, even if she lives abroad. Failure to disclose this information can lead to complications and potential legal consequences. If you don't mention your child daughter who is a U.S. citizen in your tourist visa application, it could result in accusations of providing false information or misrepresentation. This can lead to visa denial, potential bans on future entries, or even legal action
