I’ve been doing this every morning and every evening for about a month now. I don’t notice anything different. What is this practice supposed to do for you? Maybe I’m just dense, I dunno. 🤷🏻♂️ I will keep doing it just to see what happens. So far, nothing. I’m still depressed and anxious. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks

What else should I be doing? I also light a candle and burn incense on my alter that has a small Shiva statuette. Any advice is most welcome.🙏🏼

The reason you are tired and seeing little or no success with any kind of meditation approach is because you are obsessing and fighting with your thoughts and feelings as they arise. This is exhausting and never-ending, only getting worse as time goes on. Thoughts and feelings come, and you resist them. You don't want them to be there; you would prefer different thoughts and feelings to be there, or no thoughts at all. By doing so, you are giving them your attention. Your attention feeds them, empowers them, keeps them there, and recurring. The trick is to stop fighting your mind. Stop caring what it does. Stop caring what thoughts or feelings happen to come in this moment. Let it loose; let it be free to think whatever it will think. And simply shift your attention somewhere else. That's it, done, problem solved, nothing else to do. Shifting the attention is easy and effortless, like shifting the attention from looking down at your phone to looking up at someone walking into the room. In meditation (chanting AUM or any other type), you shift the attention from looking at the thoughts to returning the attention to the object of meditation, which can be the breath, a candle flame, or the sensations of the AUM vibrations in the body while chanting aum. Because you have accumulated many thoughts and never let them go in the past, you have many pent-up thoughts and emotions swimming around in your system and even in your subconscious mind, stored as memory. That's why, when you close your eyes for a few minutes, it's like a war zone in there. But every time you catch yourself being lost in a thought or feeling, and you consciously shift the attention away from that, every single time you free the mind from that thought. One by one, you will purge the system of all this, and peace will become the default of your experience. It will take some time, as you have accumulated many emotions and beliefs over the years, but eventually, it will become second nature, during every moment of every day no matter what you do, as you experience the benefits and peace that come with releasing everything, ending the endless war, and finding peace and love. The above contains all you need to worry about meditation-wise to go from where you are to find and experience complete unconditional peace, love, and acceptance that is your very nature. Re-read it as many times as needed until it is crystal clear. Ask me any follow-up questions if there are any left after you have tried to understand what I wrote above and tried it with sincerity. Breathing exercises have helped me push through my negativity with myself. I have never tried aums but each breathing exercise that lasts more than 30 minutes always opens my mind

My suggestion is to keep doing it and try not to resist the thoughts. It's a good sign because your ego is resisting this new thing, which means there's good to come. It'll get better in time. You've got this🎉

I'd recommend doing a few aums just for you to feel the vibration move up from navel to throat to nose then internalise memorise the vibration and listen with earphones. 🙏

Only good comes from aum, it is the primordial sound of creation, it is pure and harmless by nature. Don't overthink it and try it out. with each aums, see the vibrations of the sound as creation appearing out of nowhere, seemingly stays in their forms for a timeless moment, and dissipate back in the groundless ground of being, the primordial source of what is, this immediate, timeless infinite void of nothing and everything. Your own sense of being someone existing in a big world, separate from it, is but a vibration, a condensed energy, a sensation of "me"; the "mmm" in "aum" is the "m" in "me/mine/my..". may you recognized pristine direct reality as it is without the filters and distortions of the ego, which is a collection of "me"s bless you and all in this unconditional acceptance and love that already is, always was and can always only be 🌞💖

"Pay attention to the vibration" starting from below the navel then the soloplex and then the tip of the nose. Each sound lasting equal parts A - U - M all in equal time. No less than 21 and as many as you like... paraphrasing.
