Is the science GPA just BCP? ive seen that CASPA also can include exercise science courses in the science gpa if they're science focused, etc. thanks!

love the positivity! I am starting my 1st rotation(surgery) on the 3rd so the video was v applicable lol! ❤ I was wondering how u studied for EORs? I have been using smartypance & PPP & twisted lemons but sometimes there is contradicting info & I feel like smartypance isn’t v in depth! Idk if u have this same problem but if u have any tips? 😊 Also I know a lot ppl say that rotations they had more free time, do u feel like that?
@fitchickvic Жыл бұрын
Thank you❤ ahh perfect timing! I have recaps on the rotations that I’ve completed on my insta (fitchickvic_futurepa) if you want to check those out. But I’ve been using twisted lemons guides and PPP as well as rosh questions! Smarty pance is good but it has A LOT of information and it can sometimes overwhelm me (I do like how it follows the PAEA outline and is super organized though). And 1000% I have sooo much free time! But honestly don’t let it get to you and make sure you start studying for EOR early enough because it can really sneak up on ya 🥹 hope this helps and best of luck to you in surgery!!
@catpa-s3387 Жыл бұрын
@@fitchickvic that’s so good to hear!! didactic was exhausting for me! how do u study for the meds? cuz rosh/ppp/smartypance don’t really tell u much on drugs? Like MOA/ADRs/CI etc? Does the EOR focus on those types of questions or what smartypance/ PPP enough? sorry so many questions I am really nervous!!

Hello! Thanks for all the information in your videos, I have a question that maybe you or any of the commenters can answer. I’m applying this cycle and I took a&p 9 years ago. I’m only applying to schools that allow a 10 year time frame for prereq classes. I plan on retaking the class this summer to have it be more current, after I submit my application in the spring. Some schools require that all your prereqs are met before submitting application. My question is, can I tailor my application for each school I apply to in CASPA? For example, can I say that I “plan on retaking A&P class” with the schools that allow a outstanding prereq and with the schools that don’t allow an outstanding prereq I just use the a&p class that I took 9 years ago? Is that allowed or will saying that I plan to retaking a&p in the summer automatically count it for all schools and therefore disqualifying me from schools that require all prereqs to be met before submitting an application?

Thanks for the tips ! I’m currently a freshman in college hoping to become a pa and I was wondering when you apply to pa school if you want to go straight out of college ? Would it be your senior year ?
@Meg-fv1cy3 жыл бұрын
The PA application opens in the spring (end of April) and then interviews are during the following year. So if you don’t want a gap year the you’ll want to apply spring/summer of your junior year! But honestly, there’s a huge advantage to taking 1-2 gap years, and sometimes it’s necessary for getting those patient care hours! I’m getting ready to send my applications soon!
@Meg-fv1cy3 жыл бұрын
“Following year” meaning school year (fall/winter)
@fitchickvic3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree with Meg! The later half of your junior year will be when you want to apply if you are going straight out of college- however, there are benefits in taking a year or two off in between (that’s what I did!). Feel free to PM me as it gets closer & if you have any more specific questions :) good luck to you!

Hey Vic! When you say "be careful filling in anything" on Caspa, does this mean that the grades and the courses that I have filled in along with healthcare experience information, would all of them get deleted if I am not applying this cycle? Do you suggest saving everything on a document and transfer it over onto Caspa when I do plan on applying that specific cycle? Great Video :)
@fitchickvic3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! From my understanding of it, some of the information carries over because you have the option to “copy application data” from one cycle to the next. I absolutely suggest saving everything in Google docs just in case! Here’s a resource you can check out from CASPA: help.liaisonedu.com/CASPA_Applicant_Help_Center/Starting_Your_CASPA_Application/Creating_and_Managing_Your_CASPA_Account/3_Use_an_Existing_CASPA_Account_to_Re-Apply :)
