This was worse humiliation then at the WC semifinal 2018 in Russia. This match meant nothing to Croatia since they already assured 1st place. England with draw goes to Euro. It didn’t ended well 🤣🤣🤣

@@thebunsterooo It was a midweek game. I'm a Glaswegian but was a student through in Edinburgh at that time. It felt like a Kenny Dalglish pilgrimmage by the time we'd got back to Edinburgh after the game!

I was there. The game was on a Sunday and we didn't have any footie to watch on Saturday. So we went to Rochdale to see them play Colchester Utd. Saw a few Owls fans at the game for the same reason we were there. Dave Redfern in goal and Dave Grant at left back for Rochdale. FA Cup winner Roger Osborne was playing for Colchester.

I came to this video just because I heard in “This is Football” podcast, that Micah Richards blamed Scott Carson for him not qualifying for Euro 08 (and 1.5m pounds bonus). True, he was at fault for first goal, but to be fair, he had few saves as well. And Croatia played England off the park. So it’s well deserved.. and Micah as defender was partly responsible for the loss! 😅

I remember watching this in an irish pub in Madrid, I was the only croatian there, I was jumping up and down when Petrić scored for 3-2...and some english lads turned and wanted to punch me, but fortunately a security guy was already close and he put himself between me and them...the english screamed "we are waiting for you outside"....I stayed in until 3am, they left fortunately...haha

Sjećam se da smo ovo gledali u kafiću i cijeli grad je gorio kad je Petrić zapičio bombetinu, nikad takve atmosfere više nisam doživio, ljudi su blokirali promet na cesti jer su izlazili iz autiju i grlili se po cesti, svi su bili na balkonima i skakali, sve je pucalo, praskalo!
